  1. Past hour
  2. Well it is basically the 4 firsts for an allstar price tag that the NHL set for offer sheets way back. It's kind of the standard. You have to hand it to Minnesota for going for it. There's a team that knows they have to be better now to get out of that "group of death" (using the World Cup term). It's likely an overpay if they don't sign him to an extension, but if they do, he's the best player in the deal and thus they win the deal. Isn't that the rule? idk, let's ask Eichel or Reinhart 🙂 All I can say for sure is "The Hockey Guy" (who is a Canucks fan) is really really not happy.
  3. From the article? Pete, who is COO, would be odd. Lindy's opining on the status of his boss?
  4. After the dealership I took my dog to the vet because she has a lump on her leg. The vet took a needle biopsy and had bad news, said it's likely an aggressive cancer. They sent the samples to a lab for confirmation. He said if they can get the entire tumor removed from her leg and don't miss any, she may have a full recovery, but it sounded like a pretty big IF to me.
  5. Today
  6. The Quinn Hughes deal makes Minnesota (if healthy) a potential threat to Colorado and Dallas. But what they really need is to go full Florida and trade with the Sabres to add to their ex-Sabre factor including the new guy who helps them get over the edge. They already have: MoJo, Hinostroza, Foligno, and Bogosian. Add Tuch and now we're talking Cup contender!
  7. I hear you, as they have the most upside, but you have to realize that's essentially rolling with 2 rookies or unproven players. We'd all like Levi to become the guy but right now he's still just an AHL guy. It's very very risky. I'd still like to see an established vet in there and then whichever of Levi or Ellis is better wins the other spot. If they both outplay the vet then so be it.
  8. They ain’t winning a Cup
  9. Wait, is the Other Quinn a UFA at the end of his current deal?? *Sabres obviously have THE Quinn ... 🙃
  10. If the Sabres win in Seattle, who are THEY moving?
  11. NHL is hot on giving another team to Atlanta instead of obvious markets like Houston, Quebec City
  12. Buium should have done another year of college. Ohgren surprises me a little, I liked him more than Östlund. Looks like I got that one wrong. Unless they win a cup. Then why would they care?
  13. I wouldn’t sign in Minny. Just go to the Devils when his contract is up and the Wild loses this trade big time
  14. Christ!!! 100% THIS! 👆👆👆👆 You hit the nail on EVERY head!!!!
  15. Wow this guy called it in May. Very impressive
  16. Terry, Lindy, Pete Guelli and maybe Jarmo Himself
  17. That's four 1st round picks. It's a pretty steep price. Certainly could work well for both teams.
  18. If he decides to extend there, they will have 2 players’ combined salaries around $35M.
  19. From Tim Graham and Matthew Fairburn in the Athletic I would love it if they fired him while he was on a road trip and left him stranded, a la the Panthers and Gallant. I want to see the pics of Kevyn loading his bags into a waiting Uber.
  20. Shades of LaFontaine and XGMTM. Not exactly the same by any means but I could see TPegs looking for someone to be the fall guy in this mess.
  21. Don't forget the coach firings. I think a couple years ago they were all the rage.
  22. Another Plausible Theory: - Tuch: I am not signing unless I have clarity on this organization’s future - pending RFAs - Thompson & Dahls (will follow tracks of Eichel, Reinhart, etc) From the Let’s go - fire KA files: Canucks trade Quinn Hughes to Wild for Marco Rossi, Zeev Buium, Liam Ohgren, pick: Sources
  23. It's understood that you have to meet the terms of both, not just one. "Whichever comes first" is implied. Good luck if you have a warranty claim.
