L-R: Tuch, Greenway, Geertsen L-R: RJ, Kesselring, Noris. I stood in line and conversed with a STHer from Toronto. (Avert your eyes of you don't want to be triggered đ) He's couldn't stop praising Sabres ownership for having events like this autograph session. He said the Maple Leafs would never dream of it. And it was a great event. You got to interact with every Sabres player.
-
L-R: Bo, Georgiev, Krebsy, Muel L-R: Tage, McLeod, UPL

Rumor is when the Sabres Brass go to make the Official Team Lineup that the page is blank except for one name: Jacob Bryson. They fill in the other names in pen but Brysonâs is already there in typed print.đ

There were a bunch of goalies that could have been traded for when expansion happened. Ullmark was a free agent so they didn't need to protect him and could easily have added one of them, from teams that had two, cheap. I am sure Adams just assumed Ullmark would take his offer and it was a dumb decision. You're kidding right? No disrespect to Geertsen, I like him, but he's no match for the heavyweights. Personally I want to root AGAINST Edmonton for the next two years as I am sure if he doesn't win McDavid will leave after this good faith extension. I hate to cheer for Montreal. I have historically always hated them, but I simply like the way they are rebuilding. If they can get in and knock out Toronto I'm happy with that. Then they can lose to whichever Florida team survives. We all know however that Los Angeles will go to the final and lose, because they have Perry.
-
Goaltending is voodoo. Most goalies these days seem like MLB relief pitchers. Good for a year or two and then yikes. No problem rolling the dice on Eliis. God knows Georgiev didnât grab the opportunity.

11 games in October I think. Weâll know what this team is by November. Is Geertsen in the lineup as a response to Rempe?
-
I donât know why but Iâm starting to like Eichel and VGK.
-
This is true and it all goes back to the UPL extension. UPL had a nice 23-24 season, but it did not warrant a five year extension because it was the outlier to his career trajectory. He got hot for 40 games and KA was hoodwinked. You would like to think the GM knows his guys and this was a good decision. It wasnât. And he stopped trying to improve the position once he inked that deal.
-
Worse shape. Ullmark was here when KA arrived. As to who I would have acquired; hard to know who even was available and admittedly the goaltender market was thin this offseason, but this band-aid goaltending has been the status quo since Ullmark left. Surely there was some opportunity over the last 5 years to find a decent starting goalie?
-
Now that we are officially eliminated from playoff contention, who can we root for this year? Should we jump on the bandwagon of whatever team wins the Stanley cup with Alex Tuch?
-
Ka has had 5-6 years to fix the goalie position. I'd say we're in as bad of or worse shape than when ka came here.
-
Does every team bring their worst game to play KC?
-
Not getting a #1 "bonified" goalie is bad, but taking a chance on this guy is not idiotic. Idiotic would have been going with Georgiev as your #2
-
Who would you have gotten?
-
Got tix to the event for my kids, not sure if they went or not. We've been busy lately. Glad you had a good time.
-
Thatâs my point. Why are UPL, Lyon, Georgiev and now Ellis the best options in net. Basically the goaltending is so bad, Iâm not sure this team has a chance.
-
Great autograph event at KBC. Every current Sabre was there. I got every player on my black Goat head jersey, except for Tage. He signed a white #72 jersey for me. Ryan Johnson was by far the most into meeting the fans. People were congratulating him for make the big club and he really appreciated it. Pictures as soon as Postimages starts working again.
-
Who else would you want? Their #1 Luukkonen is on the IR.
-
2-2-2 Formation Two forwards Two Defensemen Two Goalies
-
Interesting. Whoever had 14-6-3 on their card when camp opened, please share whatever it is you're on. Guess if a D-man not named Dahlin gets hurt, until they can get an emergency callup of Jones, they'd run Dahlin for 30-32 minutes; Byram for 26-28; leaving the other 3 ~20 minutes each hoping for a LOT of PP time.
-
Again, you are making huge leaps about who know what when.
-
What is the vision for the roster? I get the injuries to Power and Kesselring jumbled the D group, but Lyon, Georgiev and Ellis in net? I understand the pick up of Ellis. His AHL numbers are very good and he wasnât displacing Binnington but why keep Georgiev? Why does Geersten bring? He hasnât played in the NHL is 3-4 years. I like Kozak, but where does he fit?
