Have to agree with this. This is as much UPL’s fault as it was Ellis’s fault last game. Funny how we view ourself in goalie purgatory. Not a single one of them can just be an “average” goalie. That says more about the team in front of them than the goalies themselves.

Never has the future outlook of this team looked so bleak. The owner needs to sell. The new owner needs to fire everyone including the intern who fetches the morning coffee for the staff. They will have to rip them entire thing down and rebuild. This team as constructed now is a millions miles from being an 8th seed type of team.

Worked out in the Sabres favor, but yeah, the review process for offside plays is seriously flawed. Thing is, if they adjusted the review procedure to ONLY overturn OBVIOUS errors by doing something like only giving 30-60 seconds for the review and the play can only be slowed to 50% speed at MOST, we'd probably see leaguewide goal scoring go up (even more than just the now non-called back goals) because linesmen will be more willing to err on the side of letting a close play go rather than calling it back because a guy MIGHT have been in early.

I thought he was serviceable the first 20-ish games but he has been horrific the last week or two. Like unplayable bad.

If you walk away from this game thinking UPL is the problem, I am at a loss for words. The team in front of him is a total clown show. 🤡 I don't care what goalie plays behind this team. They will all have save percentages in the .800's.

You clearly are a glass half full person. Unfortunately that's not how a competent NHL team deals with below average goaltending. UPL is part of the problem... Not the whole thing, but you can't win consistently with him. Run with Ellis and Levi.

Say what you want about Granato, but his teams could execute an offense pretty consistently and actually had a really good power play during his tenure. There were things they were bad at for sure, but they didn't look like an all around mess. Since Lindy came, what are they consistently good at besides penalty killing. They look like one of the worst coached teams in hockey...sloppy/lazy offense, brain dead defense, they can't even execute smart/crisp line changes.
