  2. Exactly, with players like JJ, so it's time for a change. We all like JJ offensively, after that, not much to like. He's just not the type of player we need, especially for that kind of money. We must move away from the soft one way players. I don't believe any of us would have been thrilled with that contract, especially if we had to potentially pay even more. Doesn't mean he's not a good player but our style of play must change.
  3. Ah, yes. Every leap day there is an unaccounted for 4 seconds so every 21,600 years you get a super leap year giving us 30 days in February. I’m sure that’ll be happening any year now.
  4. Idk, I keep wondering about Dahlin and to a lesser extent Thompson. However, you're right this is a totally fake story at the moment and we shouldn't believe jjp was some locker room issue... just like Eichel and Reinhart weren't either.
  5. Jump ahead to the 10:30 mark of this podcast to hear what Craig Rivet had to say about JJ's habits. I seriously doubt Craig and Petey carry water for Adams. 🤣 https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-647-peterka-gone/id1590573108?i=1000714675628
  6. We should definitely run with this entirely made up narrative Dahlin kicked him out, Peterka is a bad apple, Adams was right
  7. Wrong one. You wanted the "he fixes the cable" one.
  8. He’s definitely going to get a long term offer, it’s just about what he thinks is in his best interest. McDavid is guaranteed to reset the market next season. Wouldn’t it be wise for Marner to cash in on that rather than wait 5 extra years?
  9. He and his wife have a new baby. Two years is the perfect term to stay close to family.
  10. Right it's a hmmm let's see. As I'm indifferent. I am a JJP fan but I think the contract was a bit high.
  11. It depends on the return for Byram. If it’s someone like Rasmus Andersen (sp?), we need to make another more for a top 6 forward and probably by our Mule. If we get back a top 6 forward for Byram, we should overpay one of the two top RHD UFAs.
  12. I would love it but just can't see him not getting a fairly long term offer from someone else.
  13. Doan can probably keep #91 but Kesselring will have to change his number since #7 is retired.
  14. Reading comprehension isn't your thing. You cherry picked (misrepresented), instead of naming the ones that didn't perform after leaving. I get it, you don't like being called out for your nonsense.
  15. There needs to be an option for
  16. The Sabres have 21.7M in cap space right now. This includes the Skinner buyout. RFAs: Quinn McLeod JBD Byram (traded) A goalie (or Levi). Give Quinn 2MM, JBD 1.5MM, McLeod 4.5MM, and 1.5M on backup goalie. That leaves the Sabres with at least $11MM to spend. Or maybe they flip Quinn for a pick just to move on…now more cash to spend and a roster spot to fill. We know the team needs more than hoping Kulich will be a top six forward and could use someone high end now that JJP is gone. -Want to buy out Muel and give Marner 14MM? Done. -Prefer Ehlers and someone else? Go ahead. -Brock Boeser to help the center spine? Sure. -Overpay for Ekblad? All set. Other teams are desperate for cap space. Byram can be part of this trade, or the Sabres can move futures and prospects to cap strapped teams. -EP40? -Jason Robertson? -Maybe work out something with the Aves since they have no space and no picks in rounds 1-3 for 2025 and 2026? -Right the wrong by re-acquiring Brandon Hagel from cap strapped Tampa? The Peterka cap savings gives the Sabres options to be aggressive. For the purpose of this, I’m assuming the Sabres are spending to the cap (I know, how dare me). Who do you want?
  17. Please people stop with the Marner talk. He isn’t coming to Buffalo for $20 mill a year. He wants to win and win now. Adams and Pegula don’t believe in winning in the NHL.
  18. Sign Marner to a 2 year deal. There’s only one year guaranteed overlap and the cap is rising anyway. Mitch might bite at the chance to sign for 6x18 in 2027. NHL players need to start thinking like their NBA brethren.
  19. Love Dion. Spends a ton of time at schools and treats the kids well. Mr. Charity. Plus he can play LT well.
  20. You don’t think Mitts had earned an extension after back to back 50+ pt season and being our best utility forward?
  21. Kesselring was averaging 17 minutes a game last year. If he can't average 4 more minutes a game than we have a problem.
  22. That non-certainty of it is a good take I hate the deal and I haven’t once said it can’t work or that these players won’t be good. It’s, for me, simply the principle. I know the deal was limited by $ concerns, I know the priority when making the deal wasn’t fully “winning”. The sabres being bad for this long don’t owe us winning. But they owe us doing their best to maximize winning, when they do or don’t make transactions. It’s as simple as that, for me. My stance is the sabres crest and their fans deserve a no stone unturned approach - I believe expecting nothing less on each and every move is very reasonable
