  1. Past hour
  2. Jeff skinner is a defensive black hole and that was why Buffalo nor any one else has won with him. Thats why he was mostly stapled to the oilers bench in the playoffs
  3. Kinda skipped past the JJ contract, but 5x $7.7M for only 1 UFA year and UFA status at 28 sounds like a big win for a player coming off an ELC. His agent seems like a piece of work, but he got the player exactly what he wanted.
  4. Exactly these are 2 players going in different directions and we got the tougher one that is trending up
  5. Hopefully we have a trade in pLace for Byram to acquire a top 6 in place as well.
  6. I do not think anyone should be upset about this. We got a top 4 defenseman, some cap space and an energy 4th liner. The Sabres have a plethora of younger talent, can’t keep them all. Address n ed move along. As far as I’m concerned, Adams did his job.
  7. Thank you for a good point - in response to whoever called my post a burner account… peterkas metrics away from Thompson are actually worse than Byram away from Dahlin. But I’m to one who’s an idiot…there is a real chance that JJ is not as good as his stat numbers looked last year if you look at the underlying statistics. of course I would love to have gotten the fourth pick as well, but if other teams know what those metric say then there’s no way we are getting the two pieces we got plus a top five draft pick. also McLeod does not need to play in the top 6 now ( to whoever said that) - they need to do their job and get another top six player and everything will be quite good. We actually have an extra $5 million to spend towards that cause and probably will have about $10 million of space after our rfas ( depending on what we get back for Byram) We should all be super pissed if they do not spend this money, but they haven’t not spent it yet
  8. I guess we will see if Peterka is actually a star, or whether his numbers this year were a creation of a shooting heater combined with playing with Thompson. For some reason people only seem to make that argument with Byram and Dahlin, but the analytics are there.
  9. “A revamped 4th line is exactly what we don’t have”
  10. Just throwing this out there but maybe they expect Kulich to take Peterka’s minutes and we all know he’s got a rocket of a shot as well, I’m taking a wait and see approach on this deal.
  11. Maccelli had less points then Doan last year….and is older and smaller Doan is exactly what we don’t have
  12. Kevyn can go take a flying *****. Lying incompetent carny scum. https://x.com/chloewojj/status/1938084331500802429?t=vLz7FoootnAGgAvCW4t4UQ&s=19
  13. Shane and Josh Doan?
  14. Swapping Maccelli for Doan would have made this slightly more palatable.
  15. I think that’s my initial reaction? The deal pretty much exactly matches the concept of what I wanted, just not the players. Beware of what you wish for. 😔
  16. How many playmakers in the top 6 now? That’s ok we’ve got jAsh Norris
  17. I just had gallbladder removal surgery yesterday, so if anyone is planning on organizing a fan revolt/protest, can you save it for after the Byram deal? I'll need a week or two to recover and I really want in!
  18. Kesselring one season and then move him when his cost is too high as an RFA? It’s the same trade as Mitts-Byram. Get one year of a player at a time. Announce the end of EEE and then get a real GM. You want to be a hockey owner and win the Cup, don’t you?
  19. Jeff Skinner is a former 40 goal and routine 30 goal scorer. If having him on your team makes you unable to win, the problem is with your team, as it has been at each one of his stops. If Peterka's future is Skinner, every member of the FO should be escorted from the building for this trade.
  20. This like I’m not sure people are getting the point that discussing how it “could” work are being blindsided. It’s like buying 10 lotto tickets and trading them to someone for 3 and saying “well, one of the 3 could hit” I say this respectfully: who the f*ck cares It’s so far beyond the point. Yes, that could happen. But that we “could win” wasn’t the focus of the trade, that’s the silver lining of a move that’s priority was to save money. we indisputably made a bad trade we knew would make us worse to save money. “they could get lucky”‘isn’t a discussion point. They made us worse on purpose - talk about that
  21. You're right: I don't. But, Kehvyn Ahdahms just did. Yooooùuurrr Buff-alo Say-burrrrs!
  22. Today
  23. I guess now the money is there for Byram if he doesn’t want out. But they’ll probably trade him at midnight tomorrow.
