That would be my fear. Adams gets moved into some sort of advisory label and Jarmo becomes interim GM and that's the public optic, but in reality it'll still be the same people in committee style meetings with Terry still voicing opinions. As far as the bills goes I don't follow them closely enough but I doubt they fire anybody. Not yet anyway.

We have 2 top 6 forwards. Tage and Tuch. Two young potential top 6 forwards but in over their heads at this stage of their career in Benson and Kulich. Zucker and McLeod are third liners playing above their place. Occasionally they play like top line players but really should be on a third line. Norris I guess is a top 6 forward but he's broken. Thus he's useless and nothing but a big piece of the cap wasted. The rest of the forwards are a big pile of whatever. Maybe Doan can still be something but that's just a maybe. That's cold reality.

2 things. 1. I did specify hockey ops 2. Even outside of hockey ops, reconstituting somebody like Adams, who failed so hard at his job is a decision that solidifies the idea that they haven't taken a complete honest inventory of the situation. At that point Adams might as well be blood related and actually be a nepo baby. Because Adams has next to no value add to the org in any capacity outside of likability to Terrance Pegula. And having guys around that Terrance likes vs who is doing a good job is exactly how we got here in the first place. Adams history with Pegula as a lowly video guy who got to chirp in the owners ear makes it impossible to keep him around. There's no world where keeping Adams in the building is a good idea. ZERO.

I don’t know how many times I have to post that “Terry is the big bad” before you make the small effort required to understand what I’m actually saying. Or don’t. I’ve lost patience with the argument Terry being the big bad does not supersede or belittle the argument that Adams deserves to be, and should be, fired “Adams should be fired” doesn’t require a caveat. “I'm ok with Adams being fired” need not apply. Should. He should be fired. That’s it. Saying he should be fired is not me saying it fixes the Pegula issue. It doesn’t matter that it’s not saying that.

It could also just be a reflection of how much Terry legitimately likes Adams and therefore wants to keep him on in some capacity rather than a desire to actually continue implementing the ideas Adams brought forth. Ie I do think there are positions in the org that pay well yet don’t have much actual influence

I went to bed after 21-7 even though it was early. Exhausted and not wasting time. DVR just in case. Then delete. D didn't show up in the first half. O didn't show up in the 2nd half. I guess that's balance ! OL was terrible. Falcons just blitzed and Bills folded. 4-2 with lots to work on. That's a bottom 5 D right now. Johnson playing well inside. Walker shows. The rest aren't producing.

Pegula has owned this team going on 15 years and is 0 for in making the playoffs. Not once has he apologized to the fans for this mess or taken any responsibility. There is the culture right there. Continuous poor hire after poor hire that has damned this organization for a decade and a half. It starts at the top. I honestly don’t know how he walks around with his head up when he’s been the biggest failure of an owner in NHL history. I’ve stopped watching the games. If they aren’t serious about being competitive then they don’t get my time anymore.
