Practice Lines 12/7/25; Noah Östlund returned to Amerks
PerreaultForever replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
The concept isn't flawed. This is how Washington turned Tom Wilson into a productive player rather than just a wrecking ball. But Greenway is no Tom Wilson. -
I think it is now. I do think when they hired Ruff Terry and Kevyn thought they would start winning. That they had the pieces in place. Terry may have decided now Ruff was a mistake and he will get the blame. Whether or not Adams goes with him remains to be seen but I certainly hope so. Mind you, if Terry still controls the next guy it really won't matter and might even get worse.

Statistics is how. It's a reflection of shots faced and league averages.

Straight Talk: 1st Line: what do Sabres really have on this roster?

I agree, I think it's a transition year. -
Who decides these goals that shouldn't have gone in? I'd really like to know how that judgement is made.

Those lines suck. Greenway on the top line? -
I would bet that every sack he’s taken this year has been a coverage sack. I’m sure that’s hyperbole but it’s pretty close I bet.
-
Would take a lot of pressure off Josh, and open up the running game even more.

I kinda think the Greenway on the first line is a good choice against Calgary. Their D is huge. We know Tuch and Tage can play together and Greenway is useless everywhere else. I like it. - Today

Could you imagine how good the Bills would look if they had one of the Bengals top two receivers?… just one? Damn. Really fun game.
-
Exactly, you cannot have the best at every position.
-
And I hope that message sticks in their heads should they meet again in the playoffs.
-
Doink, hahaha
-
I think they are going to go bitch slap the Patriots next week and send a message

Has Metsa actually been in for any games? That may have completely snuck past me. -
With a geriatric QB and a sieve for a defense. The Bengals scored 38+ in back to back games and lost them both. That hadn't happened since 1966.

Living where I do, I can not tell you how happy I would be if NE melts down and blows the division. I’m surprised NE hasn’t hit a rough patch yet like most teams are prone to at some point during the season. Perhaps it’s time.

Texans look legit

It’s hilarious to read the whole day’s post for the first time right now. You wind up getting a very clear picture of why people are here.

Rounding up, the Sabres goalies have let in 10 goals they shouldn't have in 5 on 5 play. Only 11 teams are on the bad side of even for this stat and the next closest team is about 3 goals better. Of Adams' many failings, not finding a #1 goalie in 6 years is his worst achievement... Especially with all the extra 1st rounders we've had as trade chips in this time.
-
And I respect your opinion as well. I just don’t think running the ball (which they also did fairly effectively) isn’t playing scared (not your words) or not playing to win. I run the ball there and see what’s left to get the first down. You get to a 3rd and 3 or 4 and all options are open to you. And like you, I also appreciated some of the earlier decisions.

Since Josh Allen became JOSH ALLEN, the Bills very rarely lose in December. Hate that the Cheats got an extra week to prepare for next week's game, but am not conceding anything right now. Miami splits with the Cheats surprisingly often. Not sure who holds the tiebreak but IF Buffalo wins out and those are the Cheats other 2 losses, they'll have identical records against each other and in the division. So, it goes to common opponents. They both will have lost to each other and Buffalo beat the Stealers and the Cheats beat the Flakes. Buffalo didn't play the Raiders and the Cheats didn't play the Texasses. So, it looks like they'd be tied on common opponents too. So, it goes to conference record. Buffalo would have 3 in conference losses and the Cheats 4. So, don't break out those Cheats AFCE Championship T's just yet.

Straight Talk: 1st Line: what do Sabres really have on this roster?
Taro T replied to Spoonman's topic in The Aud Club
Good post. Wondering how much of his dropoff this year is because of age and how much of it is knowing in his heart that it probably doesn't make sense for him nor the Sabres to keep this marriage going and that has to be depressing for someone that's married their "dream girl" and it just doesn't work. Expecting it's a bit of both, but don't have a good feel for how much of either.
