We shall see. Again, personally believe this team's PP should be top 10 consistently. (Am still pleasantly surprised that the PK has been as good as it has. That's the unit that seems to be middle of the pack quality when looking at it on paper.)

I swear, this vid is from the Ice Plex Formerly known as Bill Gray's Ice Plex The flaming zamboni is not surprising Rink #3 has this notorious beveled edge, which starts about 6" from the boards I always HATED playing on that Ice, afraid that someday my skate would get caught and bye bye ACL/MCL/PCL/etc

FTFY. And both Lyon and Ellis have had at least 1 stinker this year of the own too.

I feel like we're good, but there's a lot of teams with high end talent on the PP. On paper, I feel like 15 sounds about right. However, given our injury problems, and Dahlin taking a while to get going (understandably), they "seem" to be heading towards better things.

Season has been fine minus the injuries and every damn game UPL has played. Isn’t Lindy’s fault imo

15th in PP with a Norris caliber D-man QBing it, and player with 1 of the 5 best 1 timers in the league. 2 guys that are very good near the net. And now a guy that can win faceoffs and has a pretty good 1 timer from the other side. And that 15th rank AFTER going on a 8 PPG in 6 games heater. There is too much talent for this PP to NOT go on a run here or there. That unit scores despite coaching, not because of it. And they oftentimes don't even bother putting 1 of those 2 good net front guys on that top unit. This team's PP SHOULD be top 10 every year. It isn't and usually doesn't come close to that because the coaching - entries, lack of movement, etc. is brutally bad. People still think that '23 PP was all that. It truly was for 6-7 weeks. It was awesome. And then opponents figured it out and it went back to being middling at best the rest of that season, though not quite as horrible as it had been to start that year. And, have said several times this year that Wilford is doing a very good job with the PK. Significantly better than expected he'd be able to get them playing. Good on him. But, Appert hasn't earned any kudos yet. They still do a lot of dumb things consistently. And that consistency is on coaching.

If I were Jarmo I would: 1. be courting DeBoer. 2. make finding a goalie my top roster priority, trade one of you better pieces to get one if necessary.
-
This team will never make the playoffs with their goaltending. They'd need a massive defensive turn around to the tune of 14% reduction in goals against.
-
A couple thoughts on that: When someone advances to a new position, they invariably don't know all the job entails and they have to "fake it till they make it". I've had my current position about 16 years now and there are still times I have to fall back on that. The people who are most likely to recognize they are in over their head are the smarter ones and they know to reach out for help. But as @tom webster says, just because someone is in over their head doesn't make them a bad person.

I don't have a problem with Lindy as the coach of this team. Its more about the roster than it is the head coach, and in terms of the coaching staff, I think its more of a problem with the assistants as it is him. He's down the list of problems for me. I'd rather see sweeping changes in the rest of the front office first if I had to prioritize. With that said, I think maybe you can do a bit better in terms of young players today don't seem to 'connect' or 'want to play for' guys like Ruff, Torts (for that long), Babcock, etc. Maybe a move that way would help long term?
