If replacing KA with Jarmo why bother with an announcement? Just give JK the autopen and let KA ride out the rest of his term? Certainly removing KA will placate the fans but we don’t really know what’s going on behind the curtain anyway. Maybe Jarmo is already in charge. Or, maybe KA rejected this offer. If it does happen JK would need to come out soon with a vision to build credibility with the team and the league. Sabres have none right now. NFLXM was talking today like KA’s already gone.

Adams KNEW what he was getting with Norris. Yeah, Cozens was useless, but a GM with half a brain would have passed on Norris. Absolute desperate move. A player that plays as little as Norris is not how you build team chemistry and line consistency. Undependable player no better than useless. -
I worked in a 👮 police and security agency for 30 years. The most important skill in prospects and employees is interpersonal skills. It’s stunning to observe how many people lack what I consider a basic talent. I had more conflicts dealing with some of the unappealing people I worked with than with outsiders.

Cozens has the worst +/- on the Sens. I don't think their fans are too enamored with his play. If this is how Norris' season goes each year, I would say the trade didn't work but the most ridiculous in history is hyperbole -
So, interestingly, from national article today in The Athletic: KA Hired: June 2020 Fired: Apparently never. In between: No playoff appearances, little in the way of hope, lots of fan unrest, and the occasional article like this one. Signature move: Definitely the Jack Eichel trade, and everything that led up to it. Bottom line: It’s always dangerous to put somebody on a list like this when they’re still building out their body of work. Maybe this looks bad in a year or two. Let’s just say that right now, I’m not getting that vibe.

Said it before.... Cozens for Norris trade was most rediculous deal in Franchise history! Would of got more out of a bag of pucks. -
I don't understand why so many on here are rooting for Jarmo to be our next GM as if he's some sort of savior. The Blue Jackets were more than happy to get rid of him, especially after his role in the Mike Babcock fiasco. Sure, Jarmo did some good things early on with the Blue Jackets but it ultimately got to the point where everything turned south with him in charge. The best possibility I see for Jarmo is that he might be hired as an interim GM with the possibility of taking over the full reigns of the job if he proves himself in a big way and in a short time. Unless he's just hired as the interim GM, I would rather take a chance on someone other than Jarmo to become our GM.

We still want them to win, right? The Adams stuff is confusing me to a degree. Is it already preordained? Do we need to look really bad these next two games to close out the road trip? -
At this point Jarmo is the logical choice. He may be a lateral move given his experience with Columbus but he at least made moves while he was there. Adams inability to get anything done to attempt to alter the roster to potentially better the roster situation is unforgivable. Think about it for a moment, 6 years, 6 years to make adjustments roster wise in season as well as off season, and the season after season Groundhog Day product speaks to a situation where an individual failed, completely failed to adjust in an effort to change the environment and outcome.

lol at us thinking this was going to amount to anything. This is yet another “I tried” moment. The only way this comes to an end is if the other rumor happens.

I just looked into the numbers. Lets start with expected goals allowed, as that is the best single number for including shots, and weighing the quality of scoring chances into those shots. Last year (all situations, including PP and PK), they had 262.7 expected goals allowed This year, what they are allowing projected to 82 games is 272.8. Not a HUGE difference, but they are actually on pace to allow more xGa. If you look at even strength, last year they allowed 2001 scoring chances (this year pace of 1806), High danger chances last year of 811 (this year 777) and even strength xga last year of 207.3 (this year pace 209). So, in some ways the defense is better this year statistically, in some ways slightly worse, but overall I think it is SLIGHTLY better but yet its pretty close to last year. So is goaltending the difference? Last year the goaltending as a whole was almost dead even with goals saved above average as a TEAM. That was thanks to Reimer though (Reimer was a +6.7, UPL was a -2.5 and Levi was a -4.2) This year, well, guess what, they are the same (almost dead even) as a team, with Lyon being a +2.14, Ellis a +0.19, and UPL a -2.33. No matter how I look at the numbers, I see a slightly below average team defense playing in front of mostly average goaltenders with the exception of UPL, he was bad last year and he's bad this year.
