If Tuch is dealt, it is unlikely the immediate return will make this a better team, at least for the near term. Even if the return is getting an appealing young player back, the already young Sabre roster won't be much better. It would not surprise me if Tuch rides out his contract and puts himself in a situation where he can test the market. What will the front office do? If it doesn't believe it can get a deal done, they will deal the approaching free agent player for a discounted value. This scenario has played out before as the Reinhart deal illustrated. How do you think that Dahlin and Tage will respond to the roster setback? I can see the same "Jack" get me the freak out of here scenario playing out again. Continued disfunction and incompetence are the hallmark of this cartoonish franchise.

Could grab Luca Del Bel Belluz and stuff from cbj.

Jiri Kulich to miss significant time with blood clots

Because hockey coaches are not doctors. Don't take everything they say literally. - Today

We seem to have found Kevyn's ceiling as a GM.
-
It would be so Adams to trade Tuch to Edmonton for Matthew Savoie😛
-
San Jose or Anaheim would be the teams I look to. Columbus as well. Actually CBJ might be a good one because Tuch might be willing to sign an extension.
-
Ladd not Brad. Go Dawgs.
-
I dunno, not sure coming to Buffalo will give his career the boost you're talking about.
-
To Devils for a 1st and Seamus Casey. Then trade Power and/or Byram for a top 6 center/left winger.
-
Was just a bad game by our best players. When Cook and Josh fumble you are in trouble. Not to mention penalties killing so many first downs.

If we didn’t have bad luck we’d have no luck at all. -

or they have really bad doctors. -
If im Sabres, im calling the Kings and seeing what are they thinking about Quinton Byfield and offering Tuch one for one. Byfield is having a poor season. 2G and they might be thinking he needs a change of scenery. A player like Tuch could be very useful to them if they face Oilers again. Byfield is still just 23.

Jiri Kulich to miss significant time with blood clots

I can't keep them all straight lol Few theories then. One, the virus that caused his illness contributed to the formation of a clot, theoretically, any viral illness can be a precursor to one Or, the clot is in a place that caused dizziness as a symptom and part of the reason they discovered it, maybe a CT of the chest was performed and viola. Orrrr, we just have Sh1t luck -

No, Zucker was sick but originally Ruff said Kulich had some sort of ear thing that made him dizzy. -
What does the Tuch trade look like?
PerreaultForever replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
That's not going to happen. A deadline deal will involve pick(s) or prospects. maybe a roster player they don't want for salary reasons but you don't really want that guy either long term. Maybe you have to take him (like Bruins had to take Mittelstadt) for their cap but what you get will be futures and not good roster players. Ideally you can hope for a really good prospect like the Bruins got in Minten on the Carlo trade. If I remember correctly they got Minten, a first and a 4th. Different type of player obviously but I think you can look for something similar for Tuch. Hard to get more unless they trade and sign which seems unlikely. That's a good haul though. Sabres could use a guy like Minten. -

All the best to Kulich but I find myself wondering how this went from an ear thing to a blood clot. -
I suppose that's possible but there might be other dead weight floating around as a contender or three looks to dump somebody to pick up somebody else. Hard to say. Thing is I doubt Adams will look to undo a move he made. Trade and trade again and trade a traded for guy really isn't his style. he believes too much in himself. Any fault is on players who don't want to be there, no move clauses, palm trees and so forth. This year, as I said way back, it'll be all blamed on injuries.

I will never do this again but the Sabres will 🤪 -
Utah for one of Igilna, Desnoyers or But and the lowest of the three seconds they have
-
I don’t think it is possible to get a trade done before close to trade deadline. I believe there will be teams tanking and some might have a hard time to get to cap floor. Norris still has to be traded, and Adams wins the Worst trade in history award.

To Seattle for Kappo Kakko and a 1st (Seattle has their own and Tampa’s). Seattle wants to get back in the playoffs so they trade for the better player. It’s cap neutral this year for Seattle, and they have space to extend Tuch. Sabres try to thread the needle by getting a good younger, but lesser, player who is under contract for two additional seasons, along with the futures. Kakko’s contract means the Sabres can extend Benson, Doan, Kesselring and still have space to add a significant player through trade or free agency. Kakko has no trade protection.
