Power could be a piece too but the question if you wanted to keep Byram instead.
-
Quinn and Norris' inability to stay healthy concern me. I don't get the Benson love to me he feels like another Krebs, 3rd/4th line guy at best. Kullich could replace JJP points but feel JJP has more skill.

Which lends itself to this question: Are most of the Sabres players afraid to fight? I mean none of them are very good at it, meaning there is a good chance they’d get Dylan Cozened. Only Tage, Tuch, Greenway and Muel have the size to overcome their lack of pugilistic abilities. I’d suspect it’s true. No one wants to come out and say it as it’s about as damning of a comment you can make about a hockey player. These guys are concerned they are going to get KO’d, lose chicklets, or just get plain embarrassed. It’s the only explanation. It’s not like these dudes haven’t been playing hockey their whole lives where dropping the gloves for a fallen teammate isn’t exactly what happens every time on every team other than the Sabres. They know what to do, they just don’t want to do it because it’s frightening. I get it, not everyone is Rob Ray. You just can’t make up an entire roster of players that cannot and will not do what is necessary in those situations. *****, go hug someone and hold on for dear life. You’ll get 1000x the respect rather than staring blankly at the ice wondering what you are supposed to do.

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
ponokasabre replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Marchment may not be getable with the no move, i get it But Robertson does not have that, this is the chance to add a 100 point player, you make this happen Take Dumba if you have to, to get this done, move Cliffton and Dumba can be the 7th dman this year -
It's about brotherhood - and when that happens it really makes everyone your commitment to your team. The franchise, the leadership, the coaching - there are problems with every aspect of that. But you're on the ice, with your boys, and one got absolutely wrecked with a cheap shot and you just looked around confused? What does that have to do with TP, KA, Lindy? You should WANT to fight for your guy, and you shouldn't need a billionaire or his puppet to tell you to do that.

Marchment has a 10 team ntc. That's it.

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
Drag0nDan replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
https://puckpedia.com/team/dallas-stars Wyatt Johnston doesn't have one, neither does Oettinger (yet, his triggers after this season i believe). Rantanen, Seguin, Hintz, Heiskanen and now Duchene all do. But 22 year old 2-way centers who score 30 goals usually don't get traded. Oettinger could be a target to get cheaper, but he's one of the best goalies in the league. Harley could potentially move, but at 23yo and 4M averaging 50 points on the blue line - he again feels like a building block more than a trade chip. Marchment has a M-NTC so he's not a sabres target, but he can be moved. I'd assume they move robertson or oettinger in separate deals. We have pieces that they could use - Levi in an oettinger deal for example, and cost controlled young forwards who are NHL-ready(ish). -
I love it but I don't know (and do not feel like looking up) whether the three Dallas players besides Robertson have NMCs.
-
Oilers and Trent Frederic are together until 2034. Maybe 2033. I can't math today.
- Today

Listening to Shane Malloy on XM and he was asked about (paraphrasing) a prospect who might be a surprise early pick and he raved about Logan Hensler. Complete game d man who would have been a 60 point scorer in CHL. Thought he could go as high as 11

JJP won't given them that though,

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block
ponokasabre replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
Yes and there was those rumors last year I think where there was all this smoke that we were close to getting Robertson before he eventually signed in Dallas, I doubt there interest would have lessened Adding Robertson would be a truly game changer move Still need to address the defense but it would be an elite add -
They are ripe for the pickin. Just keep adding things until they say yes.

I’m thinking more about front office types. -
Exactly my thoughts.

I'll post this here too.

Kills penalties, wins faceoffs and skates very well. Good middle six player. -
Peterka for Robertson just makes so much sense, as they could then bridge Peterka saving money overall I wonder if a Quinn for Marchment kind of deal could be worked out as well? That would save them a ton of space too For us we would need to buy out Sammy, move Cliffton and Lafferty likely to do a move like that, but man would it be exciting
-
God a competent GM could do this: Robertson - $7.5 mill Marchment - $4.5 mill Dumba - $3.75 mill Lyubushkin - $3.25 mill Removes $19 mill for Dallas 9th overall Krebs $1.45 mill Kulich $.89 mill Rosen $.89 mill Clifton $3.3 mill Stars only bring in less than $7 mill I know it’s not going to happen but something has to get me through the doldrums of summer. I know I didn’t address the Sabres salary cap issues after the moves but I’d just do it and figure out the salary stuff later.
-
We know KA doesn’t take advantage of cap space or other teams who need it. This is where the adult in the room has to speak up or knock some sense into KA andTP.
-
9, Peterka, Rosen, Quinn, Östlund, 39, Clifton, Samuelsson would all be players you could use for some kind of deal.
-
Jarmo needs to do some Jarmoing. Agree. I’m not giving them Helenius. But can stomach Rosen, ***** even Quinn at this point - conceding that I think he will be a very good scorer when healthy.
-
Peterka, 9 (or the pick from Byram's exit), and a prospect (hopefully likely a Rosenesque one, not necessarily a Helenius) really does seem to be a realistic package for Robertson. Because it makes sense for both sides.
