Wild Jay
Sabres website has confirmed it now, it's a muli-year deal, no other details have been disclosed yet. This helps the pain of the Briere situation at least a little bit. http://www.buffalosabres.com/newsarchive.cfm?id=

Wild Jay
I'll say 2 (maybe 3) years and 1.7 mill per season.

Using the B-Rod model you would think he was good for $5.5 - $6 a year. <_<

I bet Donald Audette is watching all this and wishing he were ten years younger

LabattBlue
Just got back from a short vacation. I can only say that I hope this signing increases his trade value now that he is under contract for 3 years. He is the most one dimensional players on the Sabres. He takes many nights off and does not seem to buy into the Lindy Ruff system of hard work. He is not a playmaker just because he had 30+ assists. This is nothing more than a by-product of all the PP ice time where he is just passing the puck around the outside. I realize that if you just look at goal scoring numbers, he is probably worth 2+ million a year, but I bet he brings a decent return in terms of a more well rounded player. PS The only thing about Kotalik that stands out is how many sticks he breaks.
