Delaware North will be OUT at the Bills' stadium, can we only hope the Sabres' arena will be next?

1.  It's "Hochul."

2.  Yes, he is, and he was a bigshot well before she was.

3.  I don't like her and never did.  I have personal experience with her, and there also are things in her public record that trouble me--well before she even was the Erie County Clerk.

4.  That's not why.  It has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Okay it's just a coincidence.

https://theprovince.com/sports/hockey/nhl/vancouvers-rogers-arena-ranked-25th-nhl-arenas

So a Canadian betting site rated all 32 NHL arenas and the Sabres Key Bank Center came in 21st. It wasn't the best criteria used to base their rankings, but one was the cost of an ounce of beer.

Buffalo, via Delaware North, had the 2nd most expensive beer ($1.25/oz) tied with New Jersey, and only behind Nashville at $1.33. 21 NHL arenas came in below $1/oz.

But I know you can buy a 24oz can of Yuengling for about $15, plus get 25% off if you're a season ticket holder, so I don't know when these numbers come from.

How reliable is a survey that says the closest public transport to the arena is a 4 minute walk and the closest restaurant is a 2 minute walk?

Whatever happened to the rumored KBC renovations?  I guess PSE doesn't think there is a snowballs chance in hell of the city/county/state funding an arena renovation(after they just handed them hundreds of millions for football stadium replacement, and the days of "if we need more money, we will drill another well"  are long gone.

IIRC they said they would turn to that after ground breaks on the stadium.

It seems like a very narrow survey.

I like this topic and keep bringing it up because it is a big one to me. KBC just isn't a good arena (especially when compared to other ones I have been to).

A new Arena/EXTENSIVE rennovations are really needed.  However, if the money isn't there for that, they have to focus on some 'easier' things.  Getting everything broken fixed (restrooms/sinks/toilets, lighting issues, etc).  Replace many of the seats, if not most of them.  Make the Atrium more fan friendtly/active before games, and is there no way to slightly move the 'special events' metro station a couple dozen feet and cover it/ make an enclosed bridge so you get off of the train and walk directly into the building without going through snow/wind or rain?

I know this topic is brought up quite a bit, but my bottom line is..while the bills may have 'needed' a new stadium due to the structure of it.....I think the "Arena experience" is less important to football/a NFL game than it is to an NHL/hockey game and I think the work at the Arena can add to a better experience.

This topic is OLD. A NEW topic should be started unless there is a VERY SPECIFIC REASON to revive this one.
