shrader Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago I love stupid messages from car dealerships trying to trick you into trading in your car. This one says “it’s wonderful that your car has been paid off”. It then goes on to say with a trade in I could lower my payments by up to $23. So since I currently have no payment, does that mean they’ll pay me monthly to get a new car? Lowering my $0 monthly payment is very impressive. Quote

I just did my car's first service today, basically an oil change and inspection. They set the appointment up when I bought the car in June. Over the last couple weeks I received three "courtesy call" reminders about the appointment. The second one said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I note that in our records." The third one said the same. And when she did I responded, "That what the last girl said." I might actually respond to the survey (I usually blow those off) just to roast them about all the reminders. Quote

I wasn’t even remotely close the mileage for the fist oil change, so I got to ignore those messages fo a while. Quote

To maintain my warranty I have to change the oil every six months or six thousand miles, whichever comes first. I'm not up to six thousand miles yet but I've had the car six months. And like I said the appointment was already set up. Quote

It's understood that you have to meet the terms of both, not just one. "Whichever comes first" is implied. Good luck if you have a warranty claim. Quote
Doohickie Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago After the dealership I took my dog to the vet because she has a lump on her leg. The vet took a needle biopsy and had bad news, said it's likely an aggressive cancer. They sent the samples to a lab for confirmation. He said if they can get the entire tumor removed from her leg and don't miss any, she may have a full recovery, but it sounded like a pretty big IF to me. Quote

Dogs are a big part of a family. Chin up, sounds like there is a chance. 1 Quote

shrader Posted 9 minutes ago Report Posted 9 minutes ago And speaking of cars, both of mine need tires at the same time. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Quote
