drnkirishone
@reallisa Breaking news ... OK, not really. But Kings will NOT be buying out the contract of center Mike Richards, according to Dean Lombardi. guess they have faith that he can play above the 3rd line still
Andrew Amerk
Wow, it's like Lameo won the MegaMillions Lottery. A guaranteed average income of ~$1.4 million a year for the next 6 years, and during that entire time he could sit home watching TV and drinking coffee. All that for scoring as many goals for the Sabres this season as any single member of this forum did. Unbelievable. Wrong. John Scott is on here. I wasnt supposed to give it away, but he is PP Slapper
dudacek
So no news on the Martin Havlat buyout front, even though the Sharks have told him he won't be back. Maybe they are mulling their options, and 31 for Havlat and 20 actually is a possibility. I think teams will be reluctant to part with a first in a straight salary dump. What do you guys think about targeting Philly (Lecavalier) at 17 and adding a prospect into the mix? For example something like Ruhwedel and 31, Bailey and 39 or McCabe straight across? Hoss
What do you guys think about targeting Philly (Lecavalier) at 17 and adding a prospect into the mix? Has a no-trade clause. Won't be coming here.
dudacek
Has a no-trade clause. Won't be coming here. Sorry, was talking about making the deal for the express purpose of a buyout. He should consent to that if he wants out of Philly. Gives him his money and leaves him free to sign wherever he chooses.

I agree I can't see a team parting with a 1st in a salary dump. I'd happily take a 2nd for him though, so trade our poop for Havlat and a 2nd.
