  1. I'll say Hecht. I never score and half the time I don't know where I am.
  2. The Problem with this team is that years of not winning has made not winning okay. I think they want to win, but I don't think they want to win as much as Drury and Briere wanted to win. IN game, I think their passing is just god awful. The last two years I've been saying it over and over, they have the worst break out passing in the league. It's just so bad. Also, "The System" whatever the hell that is, it includes the D throwing the puck around the net to each other 400 times a game and they keep getting caught. No other team does this that constantly. It's atrocious.
  3. It's also important to note that Calgary sucks at making trades. I haven't seen a trade where they've come out ahead since 2000 ish.
  4. IF the price is Foligno and a D Man, I'm still saying yes.
  5. You guys know by now that Regier will never fire Ruff and Pegula will never fire Regier. So let's just hope Vanek wins an Art Ross.
  6. this. In Chara's third and fourth year in the league he was -27. It wasn't until his fifth year that things really started clicking for him.
  7. I think Center Depth is a real strength of this team.
  8. It can only help. People who might not have otherwise given buffalo a second thought now have the time to at least meet and get to know the city a little.
  9. I feel like if it were up to specifically the Sabres, and specifically Terry Pegula, there would have never of been a lockout. So I find it hard to hold a 1/30 team accountable for something really came down to Jeremy Jacobs.
  10. His contract would not void, he doesn't need the Sabres permission and he gets insurance to cover his current NHL contract in case of injury.
  11. Is anyone else okay with not spending a ton this year and REALLY going for it next year when there's a huge Free Agency list of quality players?
  12. I'm 27, I'm sure Morris Titanic may have been over-rated but my hyperbole was intended to generate the point that I'm trying to make that Kassian isn't what people think he is. Kassian was in Rochester when Lucic/Miller happened, he was not the last 2 times we played though, he didn't get involved in anything then. The point is, he's not this physical behemoth that people think he is. He doesn't play like that. He's a big guy, that's where it ends.
  13. Kassian is the most over-rated player in what has to be Sabres history. He hit absolutely no one while playing up here, or in Rochester for that matter. He's big and tough blah blah but what good is that if he doesn't use it? You can't tell me you honestly thought he was contributing ANYTHING to the team. Like at all. So you send him off to Vancouver where they said, "he's going to be the answer against Lucic," clearly they watched any Buffalo, Boston games because it was totally Kassian that kept Lucic at bay. Remember when Kassian stepped up and fought Lucic? Yeah, me either, cuz it never happened. Vancouver got fleeced on this deal. They bought into what 95% of you bought into and never actually saw. I'm starting to think Darcy is an evil genius. What we got is a 22 year old Center who's scored 33 points in his ROOKIE year playing on the checking line in Vancouver. Take a look gents, he's playing 12 minutes a night, it's awfully hard for a rookie to get playing time as a center when you got Henrik Sedin and Ryan Kesler on the team, yet despite this, he's still manage to be more productive than most of our players. Now he gets a chance to play with actual skill and I'm really excited to see what he can do. THis whole board, every off-season and beyond is like We need a Center, We need a center, We need a center, now we got a young center, who is good, and it sets us up to make a run at another center with 4 picks in the top 60 next year, and for the first time since 2006-2007 we could have real depth across the middle. Not just depth, but Talented Depth. It only cost us our most over-rated prospect. We have Foligno in the system who can do everything Kassian can do without the mental baggage. Hell, Tropp was more effective than Kassian. Also, it's a numbers game, good centers are harder to find and aquire than a guy who can hit. Plain and Simple. Great trade. In summation, We got better, you all are crazy for thinking Kassian is good, and I like Nachos.
  14. unbelievably sad. There's one survivor. He's being treated for burns on 80% of his body.
  15. My parents giving me 24 hours to decide whether to keep living in Tallahassee or move back to Buffalo. I want to go back to Buffalo, but 24 hours and a week to implement just isn't enough time to tie up my loose ends, say goodbye to my life for the last 6 years etc.. my head hurts.
  16. they need to swing the momentum and make it a quick turn around.
  17. I know, but I think the caps are the perfect remedy.
  18. wait, weekes is playing? 11-2 sabres.
  19. 4-2 as well. no idea who scores, the Rangers are really good so it's gonna be some of our faster players.
  20. I think we come back on fire. 8-3 I said it. Ovechkin Gets 2, Semin gets 1 Afinogenov 2g. Vanek 2g, Briere, Goose, Pommer and I'm callin one for Adam Mair.
  21. It's gonna be a really close game.
  22. this is liek in NBA jam, when he goes, "he's heating up..." and then we play the Rangers..., "he's on FIRE" and now it's like we can't miss a shot with the golden ball. This Montreal game is gonna be tough, I'm gonna say 3-2 Sabres 2-2 going into the third and Drury nets the game winner with 14 to go. There's a crazy finish where we can barely get the puck out of our zone and only the stellar play of Ryan Miller saves us.
  23. Im listening to the webfeed of WGR at work. Sounds like we're not playing that great, but yet again, for some reason we're ahead.
