It will be difficult to get the players to agree to cut the rosters. They would not agree to more than 5 minutes of OT.

I agree...this isn't much better.

So with the new OT rules we could possibly see 3 on 2, or 2 on 2? 3 on 3 is ridiculous...you have to play your 3 fastest skaters....not real hockey, more of a gimmick...almost like street hockey.

Agree, instead of the old days of playing for a tie, teams now play for OT...Play a 10 minute 4 on 4...the extra 5 minutes should create more opportunities for scoring and penalties....winning team gets 2 points, losing team 0....after 10 minutes of no scoring game is a tie 1 point each.

Going to be nice to see a defense actually coached to play defense, instead of hearing....."we have to work harder" after every loss.

You must not really enjoy hockey then. This years playoffs were great to watch. Some of the best hockey I've seen in along time

I didn't say it never happens just not as often. The ones from the blue line are usually with bodies in front of the net....I went to a sabres-hawks game in the 70s.....sitting behind the net...Dennis Hull stepped over the blue line and drilled one by Crozier....who almost ducked to get out of the way....just don't see those much anymore...that's all I'm saying

More goals would be scored if they prevented goalies that are 5'10" 170 lbs from wearing equipment that makes them look bigger than NFL linemen. Rico would score from the blue line with a slap shot. Doesn't happen today. Goalies cover whole net just standing.

Agree, they are awful and offer no insight....basically 3 guys having a conversation while watching a hockey game

That's what we say every year and he still shows up....guessing with new staff and better talent he'll stay down this year.

I don't think he'll go crazy but I do think he'll be very aggressive in trying to improve this team.

Murray has a history already? I agree...just thinking if team is sold new owner will need to keep costs down........trade high salaries....

You don't know that. Lemieux talking about selling the team and Malkin has $9M cap hit. Things could happen.

doubtful players would sign a 1 year contract. Just because you offer a player a contract doesn't mean he'll sign it
