Girgs, Okie and Skinner are probably the only players I'd pull for on other teams. Why? Because they're long-tenured Sabres that deserve better than they got on Buffalo. Rooting for, say, the Bruins in a postseason the Sabres miss by 10 points is not detracting from my Sabres fanhood. It's just appreciating that those guys have been good soldiers while here, and wishing the best for them. It's more of a humanity thing than a sports thing.

Time to resurrect Team Stormcloud.

I know. I was a Buffalo Braves fan. They moved to San Diego, then L.A., and I haven't followed the NBA since. I grew up in Cheektowaga, I live in Fort Worth (Dallas media market) now. I'm a fan of the Sabres because they are in my hometown. If they left there my heart wouldn't be in it anymore and I'd probably stop watching the NHL altogether.

So cringe.

I'm coming around to this: The whole team. The players, the coaches, the GM, everything. Blow it all up. Just awful.
