  1. Thank you for your compassion lol
  2. It starts in 28 minutes . May I have some support around here . Us Leaf followers are so sensitive ????
  3. How cool is the Winnipeg Whiteout
  4. Sadly a 16th has died with the passing of the teams female trainer
  5. From Ron Maclean Humbolt Broncos...Victims, loved ones. We are reaching out to hold you. To share . In this moment all that ever happened doesn't seem to matter. It did. It does. They do. You do. We love you.
  6. Such a cool night with both young guys getting their first goals . A glimmer of hope
  7. Leafs Nylander scores his twentieth goal earn his bonus of $212000 Not bad pay $$$$
  8. I also wanted Housley to succeed . Given the hard time it is to find players who have improved it’s disappointing the coaching change has had little positive effect . Good person hoping he has learned much from his first year
  9. Clearly it has been a long season but apart from Jack which current player has shown the most improvement . Which has been the biggest disappointment . Going in I had hoped Nylander would make the step this season add some speed and be a needed scoring threat. Schools still out on him, keeping in mind he is a twenty year old with much to learn and grow . I do have a hard time finding a player who has shown marked improvement many of the guys had hoped to do more have spun their wheels .
  10. Looking very much forward to seeing Nylander play hoping to see he can show reason for some optimism .
  11. My comment was not meant to teach anyone anything , no disrespect in my part
  12. There is no way that Marchand plays the same role as Kadri. Marchand is a elite player who also is the dirtiest player in the game at present . On his skills without the flat out dirty play that has resulted in suspensions he would be the MVP in the league. Kadri alternately is a player a few short years ago because of his attitude and non commitment was on his way out as a Leaf. Hunter who had him with the London Knights supported him , as consequence was given opportunity with the good coaching of Babcock be placed in a role of becoming a good checking player and yes agitator but not dirty player who hurts his team . He is now committed to his role and along with it he gets his goal , another 30 goal season . Hate him allyou wish , it’s his role. and if he were a Sabre doing the same thing at $4 million a year locked in he would be a Sabre hero. Hoping Leafs suffer no injuries tonight , unfortunately for the Leafs these games mean nothing apart from player bonuses and staying healthy.
  13. Double Doubles with Vanilla shot and a new baseball season begins ????
  14. One way the Leafs can afford a higher price player is that as they often pitch players a combination of salary and endorsement income . The Leafs can pay a player less but sit them down with Home Hardware, Canadian tire ect sign deals with them that will add substantially more than they might elsewhere . That player a face across a entire country. Don’t be surprised to see Matthews Marner and the like to sign with Leafs for less than one would think . That would be similar to free agents. This is more true now as the Leafs appear to have the pieces to be a winning team than in past where they were a clown show
  15. You certainly have my families thoughts and prayers you be blessed with strength and wisdom to know what to do I do know Love does make a difference
  16. The Leafs bottom line are still a developing team . Two years away from really competing with the best. They have many young players developing that wil come up to play next season and the next. And still assets to make trades to gain players or picks to build stronger. No illusions here they are anywhere ready this year. But they are well coached and managed they will compete hard as they did last season . It is a tall order to expect them win even a round this year The management unlike the past are not fools
  17. Not so the Leaf goalie has been their best player. Without him they would be struggling to make the playoffs. I don’t disagree with you that they very well may not make it out of first round. But that is because the teams they would play either of them are very good. The Leafs are growing getting better with more young depth but are likely still two years away from being contenders And really what is the difference neither team has won anything , the Leafs since 67 the Sabres 70 .
  18. Thank you for that. Clearly I have my bias .But sincerely wish to keep it fun . No doubt it is better when both teams are good competing in games and that matter. I do think given what is parity in the NHL it’s very possible those days are not far away again as it would seem. The thing that is tough is that Boston and Tampa are excellent teams and young also the division will be hard to get out of for many years. Goodness the Leafs very well may get 110 points this season and be a firs round out . The route to a cup goes through Boson , Tampa, Pittsburgh . Good luck with that.
