I mentioned this scenario, that Jack may just go ahead and have the ADR. Buffalo won't terminate his contract, they want some return for their asset, but don't want to take on the risk of ADR... if Jack decides to take on that risk, then it could be a win-win. -

I'm not sure this moves the needle very much, unless the prognosis is that continued rest and rehab will yield a positive outcome. -
Correct. Jack used the disconnect w/ team doctors as a way out of Buffalo. It backfired. If I'm a player with this injury I give it at least 1 year to heal naturally before pulling the triggering on potentially career ending surgery.

Power > Lambert fight me.

I liked Hayden's game down low in the corners, below the goal line, he protects the puck well, has good edge work and tight turns to create some time and space for himself. He's better than Murray IMO.

These types of offenses won't go away unless the punishment is severe enough. A lifetime ban from pro-sports will send the correct message that there is zero tolerance for these types of gestures. Once is too many, by giving the guy a slap on the wrist you're basically saying that once is OK.... just don't do it again. That's not good enough.

Why?

lifetime ban from pro sports seems appropriate

Sure, but that could happen with any organic disc as well. Failure of the AD doesn't necessarily mean paralysis. Just because it violates the CBA doesn't mean the Sabres must void his contract, what part of that don't you understand?
-
If the ADR is successful there's only a very slim chance the disc fails at some point in the future.... and if it does, then he simply has the fusion surgery and he's good to go. So there's no reason for the Sabres immediately to void his contract the moment he decides to have the ADR. If allowing him to play increases his trade value, then they will clear him.

pump the brakes kid... he just as likely could be the next Andrey Makarov. that said, yeah, it's nice to have some goalies in the stable, but they're probably the most difficult position to forecast -
Is Don Granato the best coach the Sabres have had since Lindy Ruff?

Housley was pretty bad too. The underlying numbers behind RK's team's were much better than Coach Phil.
