  1. He may have created the worst top six in the entire league
  2. Cue the first complaint about goaltending …
  3. Need much more scoring out of him imo
  4. As was brought up by myself in a bunch of others the other night, the most concerning thing that I’m seeing is just simply a lack of fire power on this team. Tage is definitely the most talented offensive player, but he’s a complementary piece, not somebody who can make it happen on his own like a true superstar game changer. And I’m saying that emphasizing that I do think Tage is truly special. But I just don’t see where the goals are going to come from at this point. Which is such a sad state of affairs, considering when things seem to be turning around a few years ago when we were scoring punches almost every night, it felt like the scoring would never be an issue going forward. To me, that’s the most disappointing part. So now we’re playing slightly better defensively as a team, but we have nobody to put the puck in the net essentially. I think that’s the most damning thing with Adams. We had the scoring to the tune of what was it a top three scoring team or top five for sure, and now it seems like we have a team full of grinders who actually still can’t even get messy in front of the net like we need. I remember saying a few years ago to people that they were at least fun to watch and it was the first time in so long that I was excited. I just don’t see what there is to be excited for about this team unfortunately. I’m obviously gonna watch as much as I can stomach, but I just don’t see enough fire power for us to even compete. I think we’re doing more things right, but now we’re lacking the scoring talent that we already had on the roster less than three years ago. I think there were some overreactions about how we played the other night— we actually played pretty well for the most part in my opinion and Lyon was genuinely stout in net until the last couple minutes, and yes Igor might be the best goalie in the league, but I knew we weren’t gonna get a goal. I think a lot of us knew. The only way for this model to succeed at this point would be for us to have somebody like Igor. We obviously do not have that… Good luck to all of us this year. I’ll just say that.
  5. Should probably start with more than one before considering this hypothetical
  6. I have a very weird mental state when it comes to the Sabres. I’m essentially trapped in 05-06 when we should’ve won the Stanley Cup. When all the stars aligned and it looked like it was absolutely going to happen. So I don’t even know if the darkness of this stretch has really even hit me the way it has some other people. I just live in a state where the Sabres are still that team and are still a relevant franchise. I guess it’s some sort of mental gymnastics to protect me. But your post puts it into a pretty clear light. I think I’ll probably still stay in 2006 though, before Jay McKee woke up on the morning of game seven with a staph infection on his ankle. I still refuse to accept we didn’t win the cup. And I’ll stay here as long as it takes until this franchise sorts out the present.
  7. It was an easy night for Igor. The only one that almost went in was the tipped one off of the post. Nothing else was even remotely dangerous.
  8. This is exactly correct. We did end up doing some good work and getting shots on goal but I really can’t recall one actual dangerous chance. We just don’t have the juice.
  9. Haha exactly. Lyon actually played really well. We just have zero fire power.
  10. I’m so glad we kept Zucker. The way he plays needs to keep rubbing off on the other guys.
  11. Hell yeah Dahlin I really want to see more nastiness from our guys around the crease this year like the Rangers just there
  12. Of course we have to face Igor first
  13. Put your phone down and watch the game, bro
  14. These guys have already played and they had a frustrating shout out loss to the Penguins. They’re obviously gonna be ready to play and play hard for their new coach. I have faith that our guys are gonna get on track here
  15. I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I’m just being honest. They’re all playing us a bit right now, but it’s not as crazy as some of you guys are making it out to be.
  16. I guess I’m seeing this differently than most of you guys but I honestly think we’re skating pretty well and looking pretty solid. There are at least two missed penalties on the Rangers and we had to kill a power play on a questionable call for them. Lyon looks good. I think we need to give it more than 13 minutes before we cancel the rest of the season
  17. I actually like our compete right now. Reminds me of the Granato glory days.
  18. I’m feeling that Tage is going to get a pair tonight, including one on the power-play.
  19. Should’ve let that one slide based on the fact that they didn’t call the obvious high stick on Bryson officials are in midseason form
  20. Must be the same officiating crew as the Bills vs the Patriots
  21. Lyon with a shutout. Sabres by a touchdown. Bryson with all 7 goals.
  22. We need Levi to be our Dustin Wolf
