Skinner with a chance at redemption. *Stuart Skinner

The Stars and Jets is pretty solid. Also an interesting storyline in itself of Hellebuck and his growing confidence it looks like from getting through the first round, and if he can regain that regular season confidence as the playoffs continue. Also, the Jets and the Stars are both more healthy now which makes for a lot more fun. The Oilers and the Golden Knights has been an awesome series so far both games. Super exciting and flashing a lot of talent. A really good matchup that I was interested to see if it would result in some exciting hockey and it definitely has.

Jack got undressed by McDavid on the game winner wow
 -
Omg what a penalty kill. Can’t believe it. Keeping Edmonton off the board on a five minute power-play is something I thought might be impossible.
 -
Just cost his team the game and probably the series. Wow.

It just doesn’t make any sense that $1 million or a few million dollars matters more to a billionaire than their reputation. It’s really hard for me to buy that. Sure I know some of them are probably Scrooge McDucks, but dude you absolutely killed it with the Buffalo Bills and you’re basically fielding a playoff hockey team away from being a Buffalo legend. Saving a few bucks is more important? I just can’t get on board with that. I personally think he got a bit lucky with McBeane and has suffered somewhat of a crisis of self belief when it comes to his ability to clock a person accurately in the world of pro sports. Someone else mentioned that he might be paralyzed a bit and staying pat feels better right now. I just think he has no confidence in choosing somebody in the NHL world to right this ship. I really don’t think he doesn’t care about the Sabres, I think it has become a massive embarrassment for him but now he is too discombobulated to figure out how to get out of this mess. It’s honestly insane that Kevyn has gotten another year. But I don’t think it has anything to do with money.

I disagree. Can you say for certain that hot Rod didn’t sneak into our locker room with a liquid culture of staphylococcus that found its way into our shot blocking machine veteran go to defenseman’s boot and shin pads prior to game 7?

Rantanen is so good Which one could you stomach getting it done of those four? I think I’d be okay with the Oilers and then the Jets. Then the leafs. Then the former whalers / ‘06 champions of luck

These guys look exhausted. Critical mistake incoming…
 -
I think it ends in the second OT. Logic makes me want to say that Helly lets them down, but I think the Jets get another nice bounce/tip in to win. Seems the only way they can beat Binnington.
 -
Helly was drifting slightly toward the short side again on that play— if not for the broken stick, this thing might be over. Top shelf over the glove just like the third goal.
 -
After Donnie made him eat that 10 spot, Comrie is ready for anything.
 -
They had two amazing redirects tonight That first one was insane on the first goal
 -
I seriously cannot believe they pulled it off
 -
Omg Ehlers so bad again thought he ended their season I’m stunned
 -
Yeah, that’s been a thing the whole series right though they’ve been misaligned the whole time
 -
I didn’t know they were playing tonight
 -
I guess this shouldn’t be unexpected. I think almost everyone would take Binnington over Hellebuck in a Do or Die game seven. Binnington has shown he can step up in critical moments in huge games and has won a Stanley Cup. I feel bad for Winnipeg fans though
 -
Ehlers has been bad all night. Mishandled the puck 3-4 times giving St Louis great chances, and that one cost them again. Hellybuck seem to be drifting toward the short side on that one. His positioning was pretty bad for such a big goalie.
 -
Yeah, I was just saying this the whole team kind of stops playing here and there in front of Connor. Sometimes the Jets look so dominant it’s crazy, but they also sometimes look like we would beat them six to one.
 -
Wow. Helly has at least still been pretty good at home despite his playoff struggles. I honestly feel bad for this guy. This is absolutely rough. I agree with the sentiment of the Jets coach, and also the players that it really wasn’t all on him. The Jets are really not playing that right in front of them in some of these games. But this is bad. He’s letting it goals that are right in front of them that he and any top goaltender should make 99% of the time. I can’t believe comrie might have to step in as the savior in the game seven here. How does the goalie of Connor’s level fold this badly in the playoffs? His contract is such a conundrum because of how good he is in the regular season and then how bad he is in the playoffs. Has there ever been any goalie with this big of a disparity between the two?

You absolutely cannot make that call with five minutes left in a game seven. It wasn’t egregious and it wasn’t a clear cut hold. They were pretty tangled up. You just can’t make that call in a game seven with five minutes left. It’s that simple. Not one like that.
 -
Yeah, I’m not trying to go against the stars just because I definitely don’t like them as most Sabres fans don’t, but that seemed very unfair to do that with five minutes left in the game seven. If I’m an Avs fan, I’m losing my sh*t rn. Colorado’s coach probably could get fired here now. I’d be just beside myself if I’m one of the avalanche players.
