  1. I’ve said it before, but the NFL referees get the most commentary because the league is so popular, but the NHL refereeing is so bad and has been for so long. I would almost argue that the favoritism for the best teams or better teams in the NHL is worse than in the NFL.
  2. Our one kryptonite… (one of several dozen)
  3. Damn they pulled the goalie. We’ll be lucky to lose by one.
  4. Goodell just called in. He isn’t finished with Buffalo yet. We will be lucky to walk away with two goals tonight.
  5. Bruins 7 Sabres 4 At least we kept it close
  6. But can we fix it without blowing it up though? I’m not saying we ship out every single good player, but I don’t think we should be too worried about holding onto any of them at this point.
  7. When Rob was saying in the pregame about how what we did differently was our work ethic in the win against Vancouver, it really pissed me off. How tf is that not a basic requirement of being an NHLer on a nightly basis. So sick of seeing anything less than that.
  8. We really do have to blow this whole thing up don’t we? I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and we have just as much a chance to get to the playoffs or at least track toward that directly after blowing up this whole roster as we do of trying to add to it or change it up. So blowing up the roster shouldn’t be such a big deal to us I don’t think. We should genuinely try to maximize the return on as much of the talent as we can. I actually think we’re set at goaltender which is nice. But blow the rest of it up and get as much as we can in return.
  9. This is the second or third game I forgot to go back to the game after intermission when I switched to something else. It’s just the same ***** every time.
  10. I truly believe that Levi is the real deal, but he absolutely should stay in Rochester for the next 1-2 years. It’ll be great for him. We are very lucky to have a true number one young goaltender on a fair contract (number one tonight, tomorrow people will claim he’s barely average), and also have a really great young prospect in Rochester.
  11. We should pull UPL in order to neutralize their extra attacker
  12. Their uniform tonight is in my top 5 all time. I’ve always loved these ones.
  13. Does anyone else think it should be a benchable offense to try and dangle through a defender with an empty net like Quinn did? It’s just bizarre to me that this keeps happening in critical moments (Tage multiple times). Why tf are you trying pull off a fancy move especially in that moment? It’s just inexcusable imo.
  14. Great insight! I forgot some of these details. Definitely something to what you’re saying If he’s playing hurt that’s terrible. Something is clearly off.
  15. You might be right. It’s a worry also that this organization can send promising players in the wrong direction. Especially a goaltender who needs to be the most mentally tough.
  16. Your second paragraph is so inaccurate and I’m saying that with full respect. Just for discussion purposes. There are so many games where he’s let in a goal and then he’s made a ton of incredible saves to keep our team in it. I’ve just noticed this trend among our fan base to turn on a goalie as soon as he lets one in. I don’t know if it’s because we all wish Hasek would come back because he’s the only guy who could save us from this mess singlehandedly. I do think there are times where it does snowball on UPL, but I would say that’s more rare than what I described. He’s also still young and he has a joke of a team around him. I don’t know if I’m in the minority here, but I truly am very comfortable with UPL and Reimers a solid backup and I’m very confident in Levi to develop over the next couple years in Rochester. goaltending is legitimately my last concern with this mess.
  17. I’m actually feeling really good about the game. A ton of reasons why but I just think we’re going to be able to out maneuver them and I trust Sean and the guys to be able to learn from earlier in the season and to execute. Yeah, obviously Josh was a home run actually a grand slam, but I do believe you have to give a ton of credit to Beane and company for identifying exactly what they wanted and going and getting him. And putting in place the right people to develop him. And then build a team around him. It was honestly a master class. And I also feel that they’re all improving across the organization, which is just genuinely exciting. I get what you’re saying, but I really just have to give all the credit in the world for them to know what Josh was way before anyone else could ever envision it.
  18. I wonder if Kevyn would admit that Carolina should’ve (and would’ve) gotten swept by us if we weren’t ravaged by bad luck injuries in ‘06. He says he knows how a Cup winner operates and what it looks like. His resume shouldn’t even include that if we’re being honest.
  19. Can we just spike their water bottles with growth hormone? I’M TIRED OF A CHILD TEAM
  20. I really just hate this team…sucks to feel this way.
