  1. I think it ends in the second OT. Logic makes me want to say that Helly lets them down, but I think the Jets get another nice bounce/tip in to win. Seems the only way they can beat Binnington.
  2. Helly was drifting slightly toward the short side again on that play— if not for the broken stick, this thing might be over. Top shelf over the glove just like the third goal.
  3. After Donnie made him eat that 10 spot, Comrie is ready for anything.
  4. They had two amazing redirects tonight That first one was insane on the first goal
  5. I seriously cannot believe they pulled it off
  6. Omg Ehlers so bad again thought he ended their season I’m stunned
  7. Yeah, that’s been a thing the whole series right though they’ve been misaligned the whole time
  8. I didn’t know they were playing tonight
  9. I guess this shouldn’t be unexpected. I think almost everyone would take Binnington over Hellebuck in a Do or Die game seven. Binnington has shown he can step up in critical moments in huge games and has won a Stanley Cup. I feel bad for Winnipeg fans though
  10. Ehlers has been bad all night. Mishandled the puck 3-4 times giving St Louis great chances, and that one cost them again. Hellybuck seem to be drifting toward the short side on that one. His positioning was pretty bad for such a big goalie.
  11. Yeah, I was just saying this the whole team kind of stops playing here and there in front of Connor. Sometimes the Jets look so dominant it’s crazy, but they also sometimes look like we would beat them six to one.
  12. Wow. Helly has at least still been pretty good at home despite his playoff struggles. I honestly feel bad for this guy. This is absolutely rough. I agree with the sentiment of the Jets coach, and also the players that it really wasn’t all on him. The Jets are really not playing that right in front of them in some of these games. But this is bad. He’s letting it goals that are right in front of them that he and any top goaltender should make 99% of the time. I can’t believe comrie might have to step in as the savior in the game seven here. How does the goalie of Connor’s level fold this badly in the playoffs? His contract is such a conundrum because of how good he is in the regular season and then how bad he is in the playoffs. Has there ever been any goalie with this big of a disparity between the two?
  13. You absolutely cannot make that call with five minutes left in a game seven. It wasn’t egregious and it wasn’t a clear cut hold. They were pretty tangled up. You just can’t make that call in a game seven with five minutes left. It’s that simple. Not one like that.
  14. Yeah, I’m not trying to go against the stars just because I definitely don’t like them as most Sabres fans don’t, but that seemed very unfair to do that with five minutes left in the game seven. If I’m an Avs fan, I’m losing my sh*t rn. Colorado’s coach probably could get fired here now. I’d be just beside myself if I’m one of the avalanche players.
  15. Anyone else think that penalty call was a bit questionable? Especially at this time in a game seven. I feel like it would have to be something absolutely egregious to make that call with five minutes left.
  16. They’re definitely under the radar going into the playoffs kind of limped in a little bit. But a team that experienced and good could easily come back to form once playoff hockey begins for them.
  17. I think maybe because his skate stayed on the ice they would consider it more of like a normal stride type of motion. I guess they’re just straight up looking for some sort of soccer like kick with the foot in the air.
  18. So Misa is really the only prospect that will contribute right away in this years draft right We might actually be trying to tank at this point, which I think is the best move
  19. Sometimes you have to go backward in order to go forward. Sometimes it takes 14 years of going backward…
  20. I’m looking forward to seeing Thompson or Peterka try to dangle through three defenseman with an empty net to set up the game sealer for the wild.
  21. Obviously, we are still in the throes of one of the most epic droughts of all time in all professional sports, but this is genuinely absurd at this point. I can’t believe they were able to go backwards yet again after two years ago we were finally looking like a team ready to take the next step. At least when they broke out offensively, and the young guys looked to be like the real deal they were truly fun to watch, despite not making the playoffs. I literally hate this team now. I don’t even know why I’m watching other than I work on stuff while sports are on in the background and I can’t take my eyes off this car wreck. I would trade every holdover from the last few years. Other than probably Tage and Dahlin. I can’t stand Jack Quinn, I hate Samuelson, every time I see Owen power I wanna punch the wall, Byram sucks, Benson is good, but he’s still super young and also undersized and not that strong, Krebs is just not talented enough, Greenway does not contribute enough offensively whatsoever, Tuch probably isn’t a first liner, Peterka is a ghost 90% of the time and when he isn’t he’s usually helping create an odd man rush against us… I could obviously go on, but the only people I want to build around right now are Zucker, Dahlin, Thompson, Norris, Levi/UPL/solid vet bridge, Benson, maybe Tuch but only as second line, Greenway. I would trade anybody and everybody else if we can bring in some proven players even if just to change it up. clear out the prospect pipeline through trades and bring us some real ***** NHL players.
  22. I actually think he’s gonna get to a point where he makes drastic changes. I wouldn’t be surprised if he cleans house. He just got voted the worst owner in the NHL and just getting embarrassed on a nightly basis here with guys who are barely trying. I really don’t think we go into next season with the same structure in place.
  23. I remember during the drought years of the Buffalo Bills, obviously there’d be a lot of discussion about who we should draft coming up each year. The consensus of the board was consistently more on point than the people making the actual pics for the Bills. Almost every year. There were just so many head scratchers where the people in charge were clearly overthinking, passing on no-brainers and reaching for guys like Donte Whitner and Aaron Maybin, etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if the people on this board could do a much better job of drafting.
