I kind of can’t believe Tage thinks he should be on this roster. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him display a 10th of the intensity these guys are playing with once in his career. Especially with two way hockey not just on the offensive side.

It has genuinely been so enjoyable to watch high-level hockey like this. The Sabres especially the last two years and even more so this year have really sucked the joy out of the game for me. This has been refreshing. A nice break.

Yeah exactly, it’s 2025 and the average person has the attention span of a goldfish. You think hard checks and speed is how you’re going to get more people into the game of hockey through a TV broadcast? Or multiple fights in a highly tense atmosphere that’s currently larger than the sport itself? You’re looking at this through the perspective of a hockey fan and not somebody who’s trying to market the game to a non-hockey fan. i’m not even saying I disagree with you. I’m just saying that’s what the reality is.

Yeah, the replay was awful too. They should’ve shown us a lot more.

I was just about to post. We’re still gonna win this 5 to 4.

That’s the first one who came to my mind, but also that was hindsight as well because he wasn’t on the team obviously. Initially, what I had thought was this team would’ve done very well to not have a captain to start the season and let somebody earn it in season.

Who would you have gone with? I’m trying to think of who else I would have considered outside of Tuch.

Tuch was too obvious a choice apparently. It’s very on brand for us to fumble such a no brainer.

If they simply cut down on the absurdly bad turnovers, they would be at least in a wildcard spot. Everything else stays exactly the same except for the turnovers.

Oh look, ANOTHER silly turnover by one of our best offensive players in the offensive zone. I’m SHOCKED.

Uh oh. Is UPL back to not being good enough?! I wish we had a fluid meter that could shift along with the fanbase’s current mood regarding him. Gets tiring to have to keep asking after every goal against.
