The problem is that we do not get a good back-up if that is what we are going to do. We just get an even worse reputation. I think that Adams, if he is still working for Sabres this time next year, will extend JJP and Quinn, no doubt about that. I find it interesting that he got Byram. It will definitely bring more competition to the defense and several alternatives to the PP. Power has to step up. Stiłl I think/hope Adams plan is to trade for a physical defensive RHD at summer.

This concerns me. If we over use him he might more easily get injured also. The last thing we want is him injured. In worst case an injury would affect on next season.

I am impressed by the Jets. It seems like they have a huge confidence. Even if they are down by three goals like in the Carolina game, they shift gear and accelerate and force the other team to make mistakes. Impressive. Some lucky goals but good teams get those. Strongest team in the west.

I predict it will be a dissapointing trade deadline, not only for the Sabres but overall, just minor impact players moving. I hope to be wrong. There are some RFAs that definitely need change of scenery. Kakko, Kaliyev, Mercer to name the three best. I do not think that Adams brings anyone of them to Buffalo, they might get in the way of our own prospects. And it might not be what we need either. I think he will be looking for veterans and grit. I agree with this. I think they made a misjudgement. It is not a big misstake in my opinion, they just need to do the lottery at GMs office and trade some of them for a good RHD with a couple of years left on the contract.
