  1. It is basically a pinched nerve where an extremity goes numb I believe. And the best sub in world!
  2. Agreed and goaltending was part of the reason.
  3. I thought Ellis played very well, stopping two break aways and one being against Larkin. He saw the puck well, aggressively came out when needed, and has been groomed properly by St Louis. Seeing how upset the Blues were to lose him says something as well. Agreed that it is only one game, but the kid looks like he has potential. The Sabres aren't going to send him down, as St. Louis would never let him clear waiver. He deserves more chances to see what we have. Again, Adams moved too quickly and signed UPL for too much. We know what we have in UPL, a NHL backup at best. That is what he has shown and that is what he is. With average goaltending, I believe we would have made the playoffs last year. A 3 headed monster is inevitable and needed to show off UPL. If he does well, hopefully someone comes a calling. Edmonton seems like the most likely place.
  4. Best pizza in and around Buffalo, Lock City Pizza in Lockport! Pizza in excellent regular or they have a 3 quarter baked, double dough pie for those off us who like more dough. It doesn't open until 4:30, only takes cash, and takes the phone off the hook frequently bc they are so busy on the daily!
  5. Why are you curious as to why they were laughing? The Sabres are the biggest joke around!
  6. This team is a bunch of GD SNOWFLAKES and they disgust me. Seasons cancelled, F this bunch of GD LOSERS! I've never seem a more dysfunctional organization. The Buffalo Sabres are the worst run organization in all of professional sports and the cherry on top is the actual players might be even worse than the front office. What a GD joke!
  7. Big game tonight. If they can beat Carolina and keep the momentum going, I will be very impressed! Then maybe, just maybe, Ill stop giving away my seasons and consider going to a game again!!!
  8. Yes, I meant MS. Thank you. I agree with you that our defensemen are more offensive. I was arguing that we are flush with the talent. The fact that they aren't taught how to play defense correctly or have a sound system in place is a joke.
  9. Interesting seeing how we have 2 number 1 picks (RD, OP), a 4th pick (BB) and the 32nd pick (MT) making up 4 out of the 6 on the ice! I'd say we are young and flush with talent with no solid vets to back them up and show them how to play night in and night out.
  10. I agree with you, but I don't see leadership qualities in Tage. I actual think he is part of the problem. He is the 2nd best player on our team, I'm not arguing that, but he is horribly inconsistent and it appears to me to be effort. He looked God awful last night and to me his game mirrors the team problem, a lack of consistent mental and physical effort. I understand that he is apparently hurt and that is the reason why he is on the wing now, but come on! He is wearing an "A", at the very least his effort shouldn't be questioned!
  11. So he scores 102 pts once is his career and he's a 100 pt scorer?? Since coming into the league he has had 66, 66, 21 (hurt), 68, 102, 89 and currently has 28 pts. He got his huge contract and is back to being what he is; a mentally soft, 70 pt. cupcake with an attitude problem!! Oh and he is being paid 11.6 million for the next 7 years! He definitely seems like a perfect fit for a team already filled with mentally fragile, young, and potentially over paid players! What?????
  12. I like those lines. If Cozens can't get going with Zucker and Tage, he's sadly a lost cause!
  13. I think the Sabres are winning tonight 4-2. I have no logical reason, but since this team wasn't constructed logically, it might just happen!
  14. Go Sabres, about all I can muster up today.
  15. In their last eight games the Sabres are second in the NHL with a points pct of .750, they're third on the power play at 30.8%, they're fourth on the penalty kill at 89.7% and they're fourth in goals averaging 3.50 per game! Let’s keep it rollin and not take the Sharks lightly!
  16. Not trying to argue, I didn't read it that way. If we agree cool!
  17. He doesn't have to be bruiser, he just needs to learn to use his big frame better along the boards to close out a guy. All I'm saying in regards to physicality.
  18. You should reread what both of us said and reevaluate who you agree with.
  19. If that is what you want to take from it. I don't believe he is playing at the level he needs to and I believe he's cost us goals and games. I also believe that he can develop physicality bc he is young, I believe in Ruff's ability to develop young players, and ultimately I do think he will develop into a top defensemen. To say though that he is currently playing great is wrong and that he is something to watch is straight comical!
  20. I don't know what you're watching, but I'm not seeing the same thing. Saying "it's just not his game" is a copout if I've ever heard it. In one breath you agree he's young and Dmen take longer to develop and in the other breath you say it is just not his game. Should he not develop it? Should he not be working on it to become a complete player? Would he not be better if he did? You can't have it both ways. I believe he will develop it under Ruff, but he hasn't yet and it costs the team. Has he been playing better than last year, 100 percent! That isn't saying much! He still has a long way to go. He is definitely not something to watch at this point, YET!
  21. Great, gritty game by the Sabres last night. It wasn't pretty by any means and the league definitely seems to want to keep us in the basement, but the team rallied together and got the win to move to 4-1 over the last 5 games. That in and of itself is different from last year's team. Last year this team would of sulked about the Habs loss and would of died on the ice after that BS interference call. That is just one of the positive effects Ruff is having! Power is becoming a problem and Ruff needs to bring out some semblance of physicality in him. He doesn't have to line guys up, but he has to finish guys into the boards to eliminate players from a play. ESPN analysts did a great job pointing that out last night. He, game in and game out, loses his assignments and is sloppy with the puck when pressured. Agree that he is young, but these changes need to happen sooner than later for us to become consistent. Peterka is a STUD and is lethal the moment he steps on the ice! I thought the same of Quinn and I'm shocked we don't see any of that this season. Hopefully the little positive signs turn into a coming out party one of these games! Dahlin NEEDED that goal and finish. I believe it will help to foster his confidence as our leader and drive his play. Captain my captain!! It was nice to see Tuch score and be rewarded for his night in and night our efforts and high motor. What a pass from McCleod who has been an AWESOME pick up and should be a sign to GMKA that moving prospects for established NHL talent works and is now what this team needs! We cannot keep all our chips, move more in! That was a statement game for the Sabres and I'm predicting them to have 7-2 record (over those 9 games and 11-9-1 overall) when they return home to deliver 2 more wins, as they bookend the greatest holiday of all time, THANKSGIVING! A holiday where they're no expectation of gifts. You're surrounded by friends, family, good food and drink, football, and it is social acceptable to unbutton your pants and fall asleep on the couch!! This year, I'm thankful for Lindy Ruff! Go Sabres!!!!
  22. RIP and thoughts and prayers to his family and friends!
