I had major doubts about him after the first half of last season. He kept losing the puck and fanning on shots. Seemed to be a head case. Then he improved a lot late in the year and certainly looks like a long term keeper now. Good for him.

The feedback locally was Allen having the shoulder and prevous elbow issues made them skiddish about sending him into the pile. Plus Murray was recently failing in short yardage. Thus the Leonard Fornette signing. We shall see but those failures need to change obviously.

Season is a marathon but I'm seeing improvement. Go Sabres !

Beane said Joseph has been sending out these recent insane workout vids with him squatting 600 + lbs. and other over the top numbers that got his attention . At 35, that's pretty impressive. Sounds like a NG ala Jones that can eat the double team with power. Can't hurt to play him in the rotation. Bills do use a lot of DL during games.

Go Rangers. Melancholy shout out to Frank Howard who died this past week. He was an idol of mine as a kid when he played for the Washington Senators.. a 6-7 260 giant who could hit HR's a mile out of the park. Hit the last HR for Washington and the 1st for Texas when they moved there. Met him 30 years back and it's well known how nice of a man he was to all. Win it for Frank.
