Just looked at the boxscore for Caps vs Panthers game and realized there are 6 or so players in the Caps lineup who I have never heard of.

55 points in 119 games doesn’t scream 8x8…but then again I haven’t seen him play that much.

Any of the goalies mentioned above playing in Europe would be okay with me. They have PLENTY of cap space to lure one of the mentioned goalies here…assuming that bad goaltending isn’t a subtle tank plan.

Then where is the outrage towards KA and DG for not pairing Dahlin with the correct partner that goes well with his style, and can cover up for his defensive shortcomings? All I hear is how RK screwed up Dahlin.

Phil Housley takes offense to this. Dahlin isn’t even in the same ballpark offensively as Housley. In their own end…yes, neither could be trusted.

I’ll give him the 3 years of the current contract. After that…all depends on where his play goes the next 2-1/2 years. That being said, I’m not blaming Krueger, the Sabres FO, Dahlin coming to NA, not having a mentor, or anything else from the excuse making machine that is fueled by his biggest supporters. It is all is on him to overcome the holes in his game and to want to become a great NHL defenseman. Only time will tell.

Wouldn’t hiring an ECHL GM be a step up from a guy running a youth hockey academy?

I think announced attendance will be up over the next month or so due to the “tickets for turkeys” event that just happened.

I ask again. When does he develop into an NHL defenseman? Even 2nd pair? 25? 30?

While he was terrible in his own end, at least Housley was dynamic in the offensive end. All I ever hear about Dahlin is….oooh look at the breakout pass he made. I’ll stand by my previous statement…he may not be a Sabre by the time his current contract ends.
