I love watching Benson.

I'm inclined to say he can still turn it around. There's been stretches where he's been as excellent defenseman over the past couple of seasons. But it says a lot about him right now that the team plays two outstanding all around games after he was kicked upstairs.

Out hit 14-5 that period. Would like to see that corrected. Otherwise, solid.

They were fantastic against Ottawa, but I have no idea if they can carry over that level of play. If they do, they have a very good shot of grabbing a win unless Igor goalies them. Problem is, how many times over the past couple/few years have the Sabres looked like a legitimately good hockey team one game to get everyone's hopes up then come out and laid a total egg the next? Hopefully the other night was them figuring out, but I need to see that level of play/effort for a few games before I get sucked in. Their track record is awful.

We know Lindy is willing to sit players now when needed, I'd like to see him shelf Quinn for a couple of games. He provides nothing right now. We've seen flashes of a good offensive player with him, so we know it's in there, but he does not look dialed in at all. A couple of games in the cooler might help him get back on track, and that would be big.

That's the best, most complete game I've seen out of them in a long time. More of this, plz.
