I want to be optimistic, but the Stars have been a WAGON to start the season and the Sabres...have not. I'm guessing something like 5-2 Stars, but hoping this is one of those games the Sabres come out and take it to a superior team and win like 4-1.

I admire the optimism, but that team has leaders like Briere/Drury, Ryan Miller in net, and a much younger Lindy on the bench. This team has nothing approaching that. I hope SOOOOOO much they can prove me wrong, but I've run out of optimism.

He's 64 years old coaching a team of ill-fitting parts that have no guts or gusto. He's probably coming to the realization that he could be on a beach somewhere drinking Singapore Slings instead.

Peterka. There's my one thing. Everything else is garbage, though.

I desperately want to be wrong. But I said when they hired him it was an uninspired, lazy hire. I love Lindy. He coached some great teams here, but that was over 15 years ago, and his track record after the Sabres fired him the first time has been spotty. I hope he figures it out and gets something going, but I feel that's less and less likely each time I see these bums on the ice.

One thing I found somewhat encouraging the first couple of games was that they were actually being somewhat physical and finally throwing some hits. That's evaporated, too. 9 hits tonight. Softest team in the league...again.

I think they made a pretty big mistake with the coach, too, to be honest.

What a disaster. Is there ONE thing this team does well? Can anybody give me just one thing that they can build on? Because I'm not seeing a single ***** thing that they do well. Embarrassing.

Again, I know it's early, but I'm not seeing any signs that this team is going anywhere this season. They look totally adrift. Foolishly let myself get excited about the season and now totally deflated. Lather, rince, repeat...S.O.S.
