  1. Classy move on the part of the Sabres at today's presser. @TWCNewsBuffalo #Sabres Q&A welcoming Sam Reinhart to #WNY ends with welcome home to Major Patrick Miller http://bit.ly/1r7o3vX
  2. @TSNBobMcKenzie ANA not qualifying Mathieu Perreault. Ducks have, however, given him contract offer they deem to be substantial. He's UFA unless he accepts.
  3. Heard about that earlier and it's a great point. No other 1st round pick did the same.
  4. Briere's sons live in the Philadelphia area with his ex. The move to the Avs will certainly impact his in season family time
  5. True.....but the point was to draw out the ire of Angry 11.
  6. Murray has no worries about getting to the floor because of the multi-year extension Stafford is going to get before October. Your STH $$ hard at work. ducking now....
  7. Who needs pepto? Quit the bellyaching about how people choose to share information and be happy that they are willing to share. Sheesh!
  8. FYI, it's BU for Eichel instead of BC. Pronman says these four guys are elite prospects: 1. Connor McDavid, C, Erie (OHL) There is no debate here. None. At all. McDavid is the best prospect since Sidney Crosby, although he's not at the same level Crosby was at the same age. His skating, hands, and hockey sense are all elite, and his hockey IQ could be generational, as he simply looks like a unique player in terms of how he processes the game. It will take a very bad draft season -- coupled with someone else taking a big step forward -- for Connor to not end the year as my No. 1 prospect. 2. Jack Eichel, C, Boston University (Hockey East) Jack's skill level is outstanding, as he can make opponents look foolish regularly. He's a very good skater as well to couple with his elite hands and good understanding of how to create offense. He's currently a fixture as the second best prospect in this class, but he's a late 1996 birth date, so we'll see how he looks in a year from now when the younger players get their very critical 17-year-old seasons going. 3. Oliver Kylington, D, Farjestad (SHL) A player of Swedish and Eritrean decent, Kylington is the best Swedish defense prospect since Victor Hedman. He is the youngest player to ever score a goal in the history of Sweden's top division. He's a dynamic defenseman, with plus-plus skating and instincts who can make plays at both ends, but is probably tilted towards offense. 4. Noah Hanifin, D, USNTDP (USHL) Hanifin had a better IIHF under-18 tournament than both Jack Eichel and Jacob Trouba did at the same age -- although slightly below Seth Jones' tournament -- after an extremely impressive 16-year-old season. He's pretty physically developed for his age (6-foot-2, 201 pounds) and has high-end mobility, and very good puck-moving skills. The offensive tools and size makes for a very appealing package in this defenseman.

  10. Murray doesn't like small goaltenders, so Enroth could be very well be gone at some juncture. IIRC this is the last year of Neuvirth's contract. so he could be moved too.
  11. It eventually will, but Ullmark is in Europe for another year. The Sabres are also affiliated with Elmira, so they'll have one of these guys (among Hackett, Lieuwen, and Makarov) in the ECHL this year too.
  12. @capgeek Ehrhoff (seventh) and Volchenkov (12th) rank among the #NHL's all-time most expensive buyouts. http://capgeek.com/buyouts/
  13. ICYMI: Tim Murray/Samson Reinhart Press Conference <21:23>
  14. @SabresProspects Serious amount of U24 prospects in the #Sabres stable (40 skaters/5 goalies) >> http://www.sabresprospects.com/2008/01/sabres-prospects-statistics.html …
  15. I'm sure the Sabres like Hackett much more than you seem to think: @SabresProspects No shock seeing Hackett qualified. Challenged by Lieuwen in Roch but looked better in NHL duty. Old school style, i.e. non-robot.
  16. I want Volchenkov on the Sabres. @Real_ESPNLeBrun Tim Gleason, Anton Volchenkov and Shane O'Brien put on unconditional waivers today
  17. @BillHoppeNHL @BuffNewsVogl Sabres qualifying offers: Ennis, Foligno, Luke Adam, Chad Ruhwedel, Matt Hackett. No offer to Jamie McBain or Connor Knapp. Maybe: Conacher.
  18. 6/30: SAM REINHART ON SABRES' HOCKEY HOTLINE <13:24> Samson Reinhart Interview (6/30/14) <2:54>
  19. ‏@SportsnetSpec Plenty of interest in Radim Vrbata, ARI RW who has scored at a 29-goal pace over last 3 seasons. As many as 6 teams are serious. @DarrenDreger Leafs expected to make another offer to re-sign Bolland today. I don't see Toronto going beyond 5 yrs or $25 mil. May not be enough.
