Some of those would be so good but so unlikely.

Realistically what would we have to give up? I would hate if it was one of our better prospects line Henlius or Östlund. Someone like Rosen might not be enough. But I don’t think Rusty is that good. I think he just got to clean up a lot of Crosby’s chances.

What wing can Kulich play? Can Adams target a C and just move Kulich to wing? We just need a top 6 forward but preferably not RW?

That’s what I keep saying. Adams has screwed Byrams return. He almost has to move him.

On a terrible Penguins team. There’s lots of instances of players playing more minutes than they should. Just look at our D at times.

Are you suggesting Tillman is bigger and tougher and worth an early 2nd? Did you probably like the Malenstyn trade too at the time?

So 30% chance? I mean, at that rate, why even take a chance at drafting? I guess hockey shooting percentage is usually around 10%? Why even take a shot? Baseball hitting rate would be great at 30%. But, but you might not as well even swing the bat. You can go out there in free agency and find guys that have played 100 games to play for your team for almost nothing. That’s all Timmons is. There’s players like him on the streets. The guy is garbage. At least not worth a 2nd round pick. Take a shot. At least try to draft the next Peterka. Don’t throw it away for guys like Malenstyn and Timmons.

I can’t stand when people say that. There are a lot of very good 2nd round picks out there. Kucherov. Aho. Robertson. Peterka. Kyrou. Hintz. Hutson. imagine if their GM was an idiot and traded away that 2nd round pick because it “doesn’t mean much”.

It’s almost like when you’re playing the NHL video game and you set your trade bait to acquire RHD and you just keep hitting accept. Shoot. Maybe Jackson is calling the shots for the Sabres recently

And this lessens the market for Byram again. We’re either keeping him for a year or two, or getting bad value back.

Yes. And get back fair return with a good player. Not just throw it away for some suck bag. He did the same thing last year.

Throwing 2nd round picks like they mean nothing

I liked Mrtka before we traded away a young STUD to get Kesserling. He’s now supposed to be our big RHD of the future (you have to assume will resign him long term, if not what a terrible trade). Then we have big RHD in the pipeline. And we still have Byram on the roster. And at this point you know we can’t sign Bryam long term because that will automatically lock up our top 4 for the next 5 years and the Mrtka pick is a waste. Plus, this pick hurts our leverage with trading Byram. Like the player, don’t like the pick. Should’ve went McQueen or Bear.

I’m gonna hate that McQueen lasted to Pitt.

And I told you guys that falling two spots would haunt us. Especially after hearing Forton say there was 6-7 players they liked.
