Helenius sure would look good playing behind McKenna as Pitt’s 2nd line center. But they would have to give up much more than Rust. I don’t care about his stats playing next to Sid. I don’t care that he has 2 cups. Didn’t Evan Rodriguez win two cups and play on Sids wing for a while?

The value is terrible. Find a better deal. And where would rust even play? He may have been playing big minutes in Pitt. But that doesn’t mean he’s very good. Will the value Islanders got for Dobson help or hurt the market for Byrum?

I never wanted to trade Peterka. But we’re at least got “decent” value for him. You’re talking line just throwing Helenius in a deal like it’s a 4th round pick

Helenius was taken 13th overall (?) just last year and has proved to be a better value than the pick suggests. He is worth more than Rust alone. I don’t understand when there’s people out there that want to just throw away prospects for little value just because you’re tired of losing.

Exactly. Match the offer and then trade him if you must. But Adams isn’t looking for draft picks anyways so the draft coming and going doesn’t matter.

I really hope Adams doesn’t take a weak offer just to trade him. If the offers are bad, then simply keep him until someone offers the right deal
