We have an advantage over those two teams. I would think that although not a threat, Stars would likely not want to trade him to a Western team like Anaheim. And as far as I can tell, no player wants to go to a Canadian team currently more than a poorly run organization such as ours.

Ottenger’s unhappiness with the coach isn’t likely going to lead to him ever being traded right? Cause we’ll take that contract on if they need to shed salary…. 😉

I have been told I was wrong for criticizing Adams for throwing 2nd round picks into deals like they are nothing. 2nd round picks have great value in my opinion and shouldn’t be looked at as “whatever” sweeteners. I’m hopeful we can come out of this draft with 2-3 impactful players as I’m praying this is the lowest we draft in a long time.

It’s the 7x7 he wants that would stop me from pulling the trigger.

I still like the potential of McQueen. He could end up being the 3rd best player in this draft (if he can stay healthy)

Yeah. I’m not that high on Rossi. He’s tiny and not one that really makes up for it with tenacity. I don’t think he’s worth 7x7 either.

So I unfortunately don’t remember where I read it, but “apparently” Rossi wants 7x7. I don’t know enough if that’s too much for him or not. But I also read the Flyers wanted to trade for him but the Wild wanted Tyson Foester and the Flyers 1st. Which sounds like a lot.

I’m guessing Shanahan wasn’t an option. Jarmo sure has lots of experience. His teams were never that great though.

From what I understand Bear might have better offensive upside than Martin. But I think I’d rather a 50 point Martin than a 60 point Bear. Just give me one of those two.

Martin is soaring up draft rankings. At one point he was considered a “reach” for us at 9. Now according to the rankings, we’ll be lucky if he makes it to us.

I’m not even sure. Once Sabres don’t draft them I don’t really pay attention. So I’m not even sure if I was right or wrong for wanting them. I just remember I really really wanted one of them.

I was screaming for Cossa or Wallstedt.

That author is right. Signing him to a 7 year, 7.6 million dollar contract at 30 years old is not a good idea.
