  1. And this is why KA needs to get this trade right and get AT LEAST one can’t miss prospect. That ROR trade set us back so much. Just destroyed us.
  2. They’re back in? I certainly hope so. “One team many believed were suitors, primarily through media reports, may actually be in on the 24 year-old Eichel. Eric Stephens who covers the Ducks for the Athletic said this in a recent mailbag post: The Ducks, while not publicly talking about their interest in him, haven’t put the kibosh on the persistent rumors that they’re among the teams closely monitoring the situation between Eichel and Buffalo. While Adams is under pressure to get a massive trade return for his star, he does have some leverage in that Eichel is signed long-term and his full no-move clause doesn’t kick in until next summer. So while the Ducks could be interested, it remains to be seen if they would part with future star Trevor Zegras. It’s also possible that Buffalo would consider Anaheim’s 3rd overall pick in this past draft; center Mason McTavish. However; Buffalo would also want Jamie Drysdale and more to complete a deal.”
  3. Yeah, watching Kakko, I’m not impressed. Maybe he figures it out as he’s still wicked young, but I’m not counting on him to be as good as some think.
  4. How good is Wright? Where would he rank among previous first overall picks? He’s no McDavid, right?
  5. One of the things that I think some people might be forgetting, (and I apologize if this has been brought up already) is that small market teams out there have almost zero chance of landing an elite player like Eichel, unless you get lucky to draft one. More than likely, those type of players won’t be signing with you in free agency. They are going to want big market exposure and the fame and fortune that comes with it. So this might be the only chance a team like Minnesota has to getting an elite player like Eichel.
  6. What’s their value compared to Hague? Cause I like his potential.
  7. I really wanted the Sabres to draft one of those two with the 14th pick. I highly doubt Rosen is going to be as impactful as a potential franchise goalie. Sure, if he turns out to be a 30-40 goal scorer per year, then we made the right call. But he’s gonna have to be special to make it worth the pick for me. One of those goalies (if not both) are going to be a huge impact for their team.
  8. Why are we talking about Kane in an Eichel trade rumor thread?
  9. Of all those I think I’d take Zegras and Comtois. But throw in a protected 1st (cause they’re all gonna be “protected” with this draft coming up).
  10. I would rather get only two pieces back if the one piece is Byfield, Zegras or Dach than 3-4 if it’s with lesser prospects. We need one of the centers to hit. I’d rather take a chance with one possible stud than hoping one of two lesser assets hit.
  11. Thanks guys. Just haven’t heard his name mentioned a lot in the trade talks. Is he an untouchable? Is his value higher or lower than say Rossi?
  12. I’m still really hoping Samson stays. He looked so good under Granato and I would love to see what he can do with a full season with Granato as the head coach.
  13. I know a lot of you guys here are hoping to pull Rossi or Boldy. But what are the odds that the Sabres could somehow get Joel Eriksson Ek as part of the return for Jack. I think he would be perfect for this team. He’d be a great number 2 for us. Plays the game how so many of us Sabres fans have been dying to have. And maybe his offensive numbers could go up once he’s surrounded by some of the young offensive talent we have.
