Jeff Skinner Agrees to waive His NMC for Expansion Draft
sabrefanday1 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
of course not...I am sure KS has agreed to send a high pick or whatever it takes although I would not mind seeing Seattle taker Skinner which I highly doubt will happen but we can always dream! -
Jeff Skinner Agrees to waive His NMC for Expansion Draft
sabrefanday1 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I suspect KA has already talked to Seattle and knows (and has assured Sklnner) that they have no intention of taking him. This really helps though! Either way it is a win-win so good move by KA.. -
Sabres 3rd in League with $34M in Cap Space
sabrefanday1 replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
should the team not contact Tampa like yesterday to enquire about a bunch of guys they (Tampa) will have to move to get under next year's cap? Not sure how thrilled they'd be about going from a back-to-back cup winner to moving to the Sabres but Tampa sure has some guys that would look awfully good in the team's jersey. -
Yep real class from douche bag Kucherov...what he should have been doing was praising Montreal for all they accomplished. Totally agree Montreal was running on empty but have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of...hell we'd be happy just to maybe make the playoffs at some point before I die...

Official Sam Ventura Hired as VP of Hockey Strategy and Research

You just reminded me that we are in serious need of a goaltending upgrade...hopefully KA is making that a priority cause as we have seen in the playoffs you gotta have a good goalie for sure -
Eichel's Agent Says Team/Player Heading Toward "Resolution"
sabrefanday1 replied to Hoss's topic in The Aud Club
I agree with whoever stated they will NOT trade Jack...I do think that the team could actually be very good under DG with a healthy Jack and Sam signed long term as well. With all the young guys we have now the team will actually have a really good future with a healthy & happy Jack and a likewise happy Sam. There is absolutely no way I believe they can get anywhere near return value for either Jack and/or Sam. The old saying as Punch will know the team who gets the best payer wins the trade. Clearly there is absolutely no hope in hell we get a better player then either Jack or Sam in return if we were to trade either player. -
Official Don Granato Named New Sabres Head Coach
sabrefanday1 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
apparently Arizona has one for 11? They are set to announce their new coach... -
wonder if Sam would take this deal? I prefer to re-sign Sam and not trade Jack as I think we can all agree that the return will not be anywhere near what these guys mean to this team and it's future. I happy and healthy Jack and a signed Sam would make such a big difference moving forward with DG coaching. Jack should be able to really excel and pile up big numbers under DG...

Who has more trade value: Jack or Sam?
sabrefanday1 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Of course Jack would fetch more IF healthy but will any team take the chance with his health so uncertain? One of Sam's greatest assets is his ability to stay relatively healthy year-after-year. I do agree that any trade will almost certainly leave most (if not all) Sabre fans greatly disappointed. Ditto for Sam too. We will not get back enough to come close to replacing Sam's numbers last year and a healthy Jack's numbers as well. I am still not convinced either will be traded. Jack is signed and maybe Sam is not as discontented as some think (or maybe that is just wishful thinking as IO prefer to keep a happy Sam signed for another 5 years and a healthy Jack). -
I read somewhere where some guy was smart (or lucky) enough to actually bet $5K Montreal would get to final and the odds obviously paid high. Think it safe to say no one really even thought they had a chance of getting by TO never mind to the final. The odds were 30to1 so this guy got back $150K on his bet!

seems every time one counts either Montreal or the Isles out they rebound. I am sure the NHL are dreading the Habs beating their darling Vegas as no doubt ratings would be down if it turns out Montreal & whoever. It is amazing the Isles lost JT for absolutely nothing and still turned around and continued to excel without him. ironic he (JT) wanted to go somewhere where her could win a cup and now it looks as though the Isles may do that before Toronto
-
Apparently Mathew Tkachuk may want out of Calgary...now he is one guy I`d love in a Sabre uniform. Talk is however that he wishes to go to St Louis of all teams and word is Tarasenko being part of any trade. Sure wish we could land him

Isles look like they may be finally out of gas. Amazing how well they gave done. And Montreal beating Vegas in crucial game 4 4-1 is just crazy!

just read where Sportsnet are saying Vancouver may offer their #9 pick for Sam...I don't think that is enough even though they are acting like it is.

crazy to hear the Habs coach has COVID 19! Have to wonder if the team will have it next? I too root for underdogs and Montreal is for sure the underdog and Vegas had everything handed to them (which Seattle will not get this time around) but have to wonder how the coach contacting COVID 19 will affect the team moving forward? The coach is fully vaccinated apparently. And yes it is clear NHL want Vegas through to finals when that terrible high stick leaving Perry bleeding pretty bad was not called. Montreal in the final would not help the ratings. Vegas/Tampa is no doubt their preference and I hope for Isles/Habs

I believe it was just what I have now which is sabrefandayone or sabrefanday1

Thank you...I have actually been on here since 2011 but as I said I could not remember my password I used way back then and my computer use to automatically remember it but when I re-did Windows I lost it so I just made a new account! Either way thanks again. As for either Jack or Sam being shipped out I am not convinced that we can get anywhere near enough for either to replace what we would be losing and to justify making a deal. Hopefully KA learned from the Hall deal that making a trade for the sake of making a trade is not a good thing. I would rather not trade at all then giver away players as we did with ROR. I would not have traded Hall and let him stivk it out for the lousy 2nd we got for him

My computer went for a crap and I had to reload Windows thus lost all my passwords and forgot my sign in for Sabrespace...finally I got a new account so I have been dying to ad my two cents (about probably all it'[s worth) but watching the World IIHF championship I found out my 1st-cousin's husband's son is Mike Bunting of Arizona and who played a nice role in helping Canada win gold! Needless to say my cousin and her husband were real excited! Anyways I liked how Henrique of Anaheim played in the worlds. he was captain and really looked good. Maybe he'd be a good 2nd center moving forward? I am sure the Ducks would not need too much for him. He is big plays well and is good on faceoffs. Just a suggestion!
