If they want an upgrade on Comrie to spell UPL from time to time I can see that but trading for an impact goalie at this point makes no sense. UPL-Levi are good enough starting next season. Thanks for posting that. A really interesting read. They are so desperate for a vet hockey guy like Maclean or Dudley but Pegula won’t have it. They are doomed until Pegula sells or has a change of philosophy

I still remember a couple years ago when Doug MaClean stated that he heard a couple friends of Torts were trying to buy the Sabres. Maclean is a pretty connected guy.

Don’t forget Ontario billionaires that would be fine with keeping the team in Buffalo. I have no doubt if Pegula decided to buy that there would be multiple suitors willing to keep the team in Buffalo.

For the love of God please trade Girgs to a contender. The guy was drafted in 2012 and has never seen a playoff game. No one has suffered more in the NHL. Je has been a loyal soldier who hasn’t complained. I would love to see him in a playoff run and it ain’t happening in Buffalo anytime soon. Same for Okposo. Let’s see if anyone steps into a leadership role with him out the door. Would find out a lot about this team.

You realize that Crosby is one of the greatest ever. Celebrini will be a great offensive player he just won’t reach the consistent offensive level of Crosby which few players ever have. The kid will be a good one.

Most people were all over Reinhart when he was here. They didn’t give him away. Levi and Kulich look like it will turn into a very good deal. I really like Reinhart. His brain and instincts are elite.

It’s not about Adams being unproven It is that Pegula thinks he can trust him. Watch the draft video. Adams is on the phone telling Pegula every single idea running through his head. Pegula wants someone he feels he can trust over someone that excels at their job. That is why nothing will change until Pegula is out of the picture

Pegula is tied at the hip with Adams. He is his guy he can trust. Adams will do whatever Pegula wants and will spin and spin. Pegula doesn’t want to spend money right now so Adams pushes the sticking to the patience and development narrative with a bargain basement coaching staff. If Granato is fired then we get Appert or Matt Ellis. My only hope is a sale at this point. 13 years of hell with no end in sight is to much to take.

I’ll give the Sabres credit for switching it up for us. Last year they could score and the PP was working but goaltending killed us. This year the goaltending has been much better so they decided not to score and just tank the PP. Its nice when you are watching your team suck every year that they find new ways to do it to keep it fresh.

Adams is definitely on a budget. Just look at the quality of the coaching staff.
