Yes, reading back I see I misread/misunderstood a couple passages. All is good, carry on.😀

I mean when has Dach had a chance to prove it? He was rushed to the NHL and played really well in the playoffs. This year he was ready to dominate the WJCs, has a freak wrist injury that derailed his season. If he had played last year in juniors like he should have he would have put up 80-90 points. This season was a complete injury write off. why are people acting like he is a 24 year old burnout?

Dreger: Expects Sabres Head Coach will be hired next week
Flashsabre replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
What happened with Tocchet in Seattle? He and Francis are buddies from the Pens early 90s teams. They won a Cup together. He goes through 3 interviews and suddenly it is announced that they settled big time for Hakstol. Just bizarre. Was he asking for huge money? -
Some serious underrating of Dach. He was ready to tear the WJCs apart with Cozens before the wrist injury. 6’4 power centre in the Getzlaf mould. I would take him in a second in a Chicago deal. I like all the young guys listed. With Rossi, they passed on him. Was it because they loved Quinn more but still liked Rossi or did they pass because they had issues with him? I don’t think Byfield is an option, I would be shocked if L.A. moved him but if L.A. Feels the pressure to get a superstar today then maybe. All the other guys would be good pieces to reset around.

In defense of guys like Dreger they have to do these radio hits every week and if they have no new info out there they have to massage what they already know/ have said to make it sound interesting.

Kings have 8th 0A, Canucks 9th OA, Sens 10th OA. That would be a good return. My fairytale is that the Hawks fall short on Eichel and take this deal for Dach and 11th OA+. Not likely but it is fun to have dreams.😆

Eichel for Fleury, Tuch, Krebs, Hague, 1st MAF has to go for cap reasons. You agree to flip Fleury for assets since he won’t want to play for Buffalo next year. Tuch can be a leader today. Young forward prospect in Krebs, young dman in Hague, low 1st. You could take that offer to Anaheim, Minny, Chicago, anyone else and hope they beat it.

No one on a message board has a clue about who is and who isn’t available in a trade. No one is in on the calls and has inside information. Let’s stop with the “This guy isn’t available” nonsense without a legit source stating so.

Zegras is similar to Mitts before this team tried to destroy him: skilled, WJC mvp, decent college year. Not saying they are the same player but it is funny they were on similar paths before Buffalo development hell happened for Mitts. Byfield has the biggest natural upside as a power centre but it will be if he gets there. Rossi and Krebs are two way centres that can excel all over the ice. I would say Rossi is flashier, Krebs more workman like, both effective. Zegras has a sex appeal to his game but I don’t know how strong him Byfield will be defensively.

I read a Minnesota reporter saying he thinks it is 50/50 they trade Fiala this summer so he would probably be included. Fiala+Rossi (who has big health issues himself he is overcoming)+1st+ another prospect. They have to move Dumba or lose him to Seattle so they might want to throw him in.

Yes I know, that was my reaction to the news.

Minnesota is the team I think will be in that doesn’t seem to get the publicity in this. With Kaprizov having contract squabbles and demanding a better player to play with, Eichel makes sense. Rossi, Boldy, Dumba is a solid start to a package.

Wow, Friedman saying Tocchet is out as Seattle coach after 3rd interview. Wonder what went wrong. They were also interviewing Quinn so maybe he got it. Friedman also mentioned Sacco and Tony Granato as options.
-
So they are not waiting to talk to Lambert or Halpern?
-
Screw off Eklund. His latest masterpiece is Jack to Calgary for Gaudreau and “other pieces”.
-
1st OA😜 I wouldn’t be surprised if they look at guys like him or Colton Dach in the second round. Big, physical wingers that hit, drop the gloves, have some offensive potential. I really think Adams wants that lunchpail mentality and identity back for the Sabres.

https://thewincolumn.ca/2021/06/20/evaluating-2021-nhl-goaltender-performances-with-goals-saved-above-expected/ A look at league goaltending from last year. Two things: 1) I think Mrazek and Dreidger should be at the top of their list for short term goalie options. 2) OMG Flyers Goaltending!!!🤪

And Tkachuk has the same all about me attitude as Jack. That is what they are looking to get rid of.

Kent Johnson at #15, wow. He is the most polarizing player in the draft. Wheeler has him at #2. Extremely skilled kid who needs to put on about 25 pounds. There seems to be some trends forming across rankings. Power at #1, Beniers usually #2, Eklund is gaining steam as a top 4 pick, as is Hughes in the top 5 and Guenther around 8th.
