After watching a dozen Amerks games this season I would say Mule is their MVP. Quinn, Peterka, Krebs, Malone, Mersh have all played great but to me Mule is the player hardest to replace in that lineup. He means so much to that backend.

I have a bad feeling that UPL is the golden child to Pegula. There were the rumours last year that Pegula wanted UPL to be the starter this year but he couldn’t come in and win the job. It would explain a lot. Why Adams doesn’t want a goalie to “block anyone’s path” why they signed Anderson as insurance but didn’t do anything else to shore up the position.

It is about time we start showing some love to 7th round pick Tyson Kozak. The centre for Portland is quietly up to 19 points in 21 games. Also, our two top prospects, Power and Quinn both wear #22. Interesting to see who will rock that number for the Sabres for years to come.
