Seems like they can't stop sweeps to the right, defense left

I'm in the group and he has been slowly winning me over. It's not I don't believe he has talent. It's more that he can't stay healthy.

jeez Prof.. that's a leap... your student's idiocy must be wearing off on you.

2nd and 26 and give up a TD... Sheesh

I was thinking some more about the replay and offer this subtle, but significant change If you challenge the call, regardless of the outcome, you lose your timeout My reasoning: The stoppage has the same effect as a timeout. A lengthy time out to rest your guys and deny any momentum by the scoring team.

Terry Pegula - Rally the Owners to change the challenge rule

I had to step out last night, so I did not see the end of the game. By the time I got back, I saw this. I admit staring at it for a few seconds. I knew something was wrong about it, but it took me a few seconds to figure out what it was. -

+1 I think this summarizes things well. Obvious situations where the puck came across the line and was brought back in, ok. Obvious situations where the guy was on the other side of the line. Split second judgement of timing, skate up/down, is carrying it too far. -
I think a 25g 25a year is realistic for him. I'd take that for rookie campaign.

I thought at the time and I still do that it was a good goal. -
I wonder if the root of Crosby and Malkin struggles is their salary and its impact on the rest of the roster. There are only so many dollars to go around. That leaves guys like Niskanen on the outside looking in.
-
My guess is they were paid to watch it. Takes some of the sting out of it.

I thought the game against the Kings was the type of team and game needed to compete in the end of the year hockey tournament. They need a goalie (I'm betting on Linus), a 2nd line winger (someone who can challenge from the left side), another year of seasoning for Eichel, Rheinhart and Risto and maybe one more responsible Dman with a game an attitude like Chris Pronger. A Dman who will make you afraid to end his side of the ice.

I don't have a problem with the rule. It will even out over time. If I could be critical of anything, it is the small monitors they give the refs to look at replays on. This is a billion dollar industry and we have them looking at tiny screens to see if a play is onsides. They need the latest in HD tech and they should have it. -
Enormous day for the playoffs Pit at Cincy and Buf at Philly. If Pit wins, I think that makes the Bills long shots. If the Bills lose, when we can stop talking about them. If the Bills win and Pit loses, the Bills control their destiny.

I think that is cruel parenting. No one and I mean no one in their right mind chooses to root for anything Buffalo. I tell people I was born with this affliction. If I could have picked a team to root for, it would have probably been Pittsburgh or even dare I say Boston. My son roots for Pittsburgh (he has picked up on my anti-Baltimore leanings) and has already enjoyed watching his teams win a Stanley Cup and Superbowl. He is 14. I myself have close to 90 seasons of watching my Bills and Sabres and I have enjoyed nothing but heartbreak. I'm a Buffalo fan through and through and nothing can change that, but the cycle of abuse starts in the home. Don't chain them to this.

I want you all to know I did my part for the Sabres tonight. I dropped Moulson from my fantasy team. That is usually the point where they turn their season around and begin scoring goals,
-
I noticed him over embellishing A LOT tonight. He anticipates the play, raises his voice, only to realize it didn't go down. I find that annoying. Can't do it. Won't do it. I have vowed never to watch those game until they win the SB. I was a season ticket holder during those 4 SB years. I won't tarnish my fond memories with that tripe that was the SBs. Especially where each one got progressively worse.

Linus helped my fantasy team tonight.. Although when he was 1 GAA on 1 shot to start the game, I wondered if I made the right start.
