Game discussion thread GDT: 10/22/14 Sabres at Ducks 10:30 MSG, WGR
wjag replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Pad your stats game for the Ducks. Might as well make Neuvirth the sacrificial lamb for this one. -
I watched the last five minutes of the show again. I didn't pick up on some basic cues that were pointed out in here. So the cannibals definitely knew Bob. I'm not sure I can see the scenario where he was bit on the other leg and could somehow do something about it. He is tied up, sitting down and only has 1.5 legs now. Should be interesting to see where they go with that and the preacher.

me thinks that is going to be difficult,

The worst thing that happened to the Ebola epidemic was the one US imported case. The MSM took their eye off of the real issues and fed the fear mongering and ratings chase. The real story is in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, not Bethesda, Omaha, Atlanta, Cleveland and Dallas.

It's sadly official. After last night's results, Buffalo is the worst team in the league. Officially number 30.

Glad to see it.

I don't think there is a comparison at this point. No way EJ makes those throws. Not in my mind at least.

Buffalo won the game yesterday, but the price was enormous. Some victories cost more, and yesterday's was very costly indeed.

The implication was there. I thought the same thing.

4-3 sure looks good.. Too bad they laid an egg against NE.

So did Woods. So I want to bring up a play in the game I simply did not understand. Right after the Bills scored the first TD, they squib kicked the ensuing kick off. The result of the play was the Vikings got the ball on the 40. One long pass to Jennings and they went in to score. Who on God's green earth calls a squib kick after that? They have a kickoff specialist. I wanted to comment then but this site quickly became unusable like every Sunday afternoon when the Bills play. Any comments?

So here is where I disagree. This is real time stuff. If I was appointed to Czar financial derivatives and the market was crashing, do I have the luxury of first being educated about what derivatives are and what their impact is on the market. If I'm the guy, I need to understand when two people give me conflicting advice on what to do, what path to take. I don't have the luxury of not understanding. I agree he needs to be a coordinator. BUT HE MUST UNDERSTAND DISEASE, HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION, HEALTH CARE ISSUES and DISEASE SURVEILLANCE. He must. He does not have the luxury of learning on the job. An administrator is fine when the decisions he needs to make are not real world and real time. Like, say, divesting BP of billions. Sure, administer that. He must advise the President on what to do. If he has to be taught what EVD is, can he be effective? I say no. This is plain and simple cronyism and his appointment was not in the best interest of this country.

Ted Nolan "I learned last week I can't say what/how I feel."

I think what X said previously that has resonated most with me since the season began is, paraphrasing: Nolan's system is everybody go north for period's 1 and 3 and everybody go south in period 2. What I took that to mean and what I take it to mean is that doesn't appear to be any system whatsoever with these guys and this coach. How can that be? But through six games, it sure seems that way. -
I'm not only unhappy by his choice, but how the whole thing came about, to include the job description of the Czar. This guy doesn't know the first thing about virology and his mandate is too thin to have any more or less importance to the CDC director or HHS Secretary. All we did was put another lawyer on the payroll. Klain has now missed his second straight meeting after being appointed. I'm sure he has a valid reason for skipping last night's update to the President. After all, he is just the Czar.

So I waited to open this thread until I got back. Just watched the episode. Every season they have 3-4 really great shows. That was clearly one of them. That had everything.

Apparently Barack has said so, since he picked a lawyer first. I've spent a lot of time with people in this field over the last 10 days. And by that I mean folks on THE front line of our EVD response. The choice is suspect amongst them. He had a chance to lead, instead, he reverted to cronyism.

So if the Bills get shutout today, we'll have the Buffalo sports trifecta. What should we call it? Bazinga?

Obama's credit card declined in NYC restaurant. Can you imagine the embarrassment to the restaurant? I'm surprised he even carries one. -

My prediction was he would be gone by Thanksgiving.
