Sabres hockey is back. I'm in the minority here on how I feel about the team this year. I still don't see them in the playoffs, or on the bubble yet. Waiting for them to prove me wrong.

Not a fan of the computer generated graphics along the boards. I wasn't a fan of the graphics on the glass behind the goals either.

Draft grade 'C' with the whole mayonnaise yada yada. But this is what they predict for my season. "Clown Shoes was unlucky to land the last pick in the opening round. He didn't need time to throw. He was getting rid of the ball quicker than he ever had. Under 2.5 seconds almost every snap. He learns more and more each year, and I think Ken Dorsey is designing these plays for Josh to chuck the ball quick. Something Daboll never did. Josh is just a big sponge and only wants to get better day by day. And he is proving to the world that anything is possible if you are willing to keep learning. And that's why he is a perfect fit for Buffalo. Willing to get greasy. Could you imagine if Baker Mayfield was the Bills QB?

Josh Allen isn't a unicorn. He is a young kid who has a brain like a sponge and was willing to take advice and learn. Guys like Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen had such big egos, that they didn't think they needed to be coached. They figured they knew it all coming into the NFL. Some players are willing to be coached, most are not. So maybe because Josh Allen was willing to take all the coaching he could get, he is a unicorn. Otherwise, he is just an amazing athlete with an open mind. Everyone said you can't coach accuracy. Well, Josh has a done a 180 when it comes that. He is willing to do what it takes to become better each year. Most top picks aren't like that.

I didn't mind the Rock til last night, lol. Although I'm sure he just did it for the hell of it. He played college ball for Miami. He's most likely not even a Rams fan. I still like the guy though.

Meh.....they only beat the defending SB champs 21-0 in the second half. And unfortunately, the new punter may need surgery on his kicking leg due to atrophy.

I never knew Mustillo was from Buffalo. I always remember him from playing Jerry's neighbor Phil on Seinfeld. Jerry wouldn't let him in the building because he didn't recognize him, even though he lived across the hall. Then Kramer accidentally killed Phil's bird Fredo, 😆

The Metallica show at Highmark last night was absolutely amazing. They were so f'n good. Actually played for just over 2 hours. The nearly 60 year old James Hetfield sounded better than he did 20 years ago. And I was pleasantly surprised with Greta Van Fleet. The place was absolutely packed when Metallica came on. Best stadium concert I have seen in prolly forever. Buffalo brought it last night.

Clown Shoes is back in

It's a beautiful city, but it's really constricted. Like you said, if you miss your turn, you're screwed. I can't remember the show, maybe Godsmack at Darien. And they were in Pitt the night before. They said it sucked there and that NY kicked their ass. And then he went on to say how the Yankees sucked though, they are from Boston. So I looked up their show in Pittsburgh, and the place was like half full. It was pitiful. So it's weird to me that Metallica is only playing 2 stadium shows. Small market Buffalo and notoriously bad concert attendance Pittsburgh. But I can guarantee that there are a big number of fans that will attend both shows. Idk, the whole thing seems weird to me. Metallica has been in Europe too. I think Buffalo might be their first show back in the states. All I know, this is prolly the last time I'll see them live. And to see them at Highmark is going to be unreal. I'm gonna go from 6 to 12 when I walk in there.

Metallica and Greta Van Fleet in Buffalo on Aug 11th, then Bush, Breaking Benjamin and Alice In Chains two days later in Syracuse. My daughter is coming in from Michigan for both shows. GVF is her favorite band and she really wants to see AIC, as do I. I've seen Metallica twice and Breaking Benjamin twice. Both great performers live. I'm psyched to see AIC and am actually looking forward to seeing Bush live too. Gavin Rossdale is a great musician. I'll be in section 133, row 20 for Metallica. That's the first section open from where the stage is. Gonna be great!!! Supposedly less than 4% of tickets left, which I hardly believe. They are playing in Pittsburgh 3 days later at PNC, which is the baseball stadium, and there are plenty of tickets available. But, I have heard, Pittsburgh is a ***** market for concerts. Not sure why, which makes me wonder, why would one the all time best selling metal groups of all times, book two stadium shows in Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Especially when the venues are pretty close to each other. Either way, I can't wait!!! Just a few weeks ago. One of their best songs.
