On risto paired with Dahlin. I think this is an abomination! If we are supposed to be playing with fast puck movers, leading to controlled breakouts. How does Risto help? There was a great point made about pairings in one of the podcasts that I'm going paraphrase.... If the forecheckers bear down on Dahlin (which they will coz he's awesome) why pair him with someone who treats the puck as a live grenade? Don't you want a Jokiharju, Montour type? Hopefully Ristolainen can prove us all wrong. But I am skeptical that he can.

Hope for everything we've done post/preseason to gel together and we are playing for a playoff spot in the final third of the season. Fear that Kreuger talks a good game but cannot pull the kids together and we make barely any improvement. Expect that we improve slightly over last year as the team learn to play the system properly. And that Sobotka is not on the continent by october.

3-6 loss. Defending was pretty poor from the clan. Dundee were quicker, their backchecking was very good. We were very static overall. Not a great show. At least it's not league play, just the cup. Get the missing D back from injury in the next few games.,

Yay, hockey is back. The Clan won the preseason tourney against snake Russell's new team ?. Tonight we'll be opening the challenge cup against the Dundee stars. In my mind Vesey isn't here beyond this season anyway. JB has him as cover on a contract year to, hopefully, get a good enough amount of points out of him. Next season will be when more of our young players can make the jump up. If Vesey performs well and we can get better than the 3rd round pick back at the deadline that's a decent bit of business imo.
