  1. Honestly that ends the discussion. Well said.
  2. Eichel has been turning over the puck at a record rate the last couple of weeks.
  3. First the Cody Hodgson virtue-signaling and now this!
  4. Viktor has his best game as a pro and gave me hope tonight that he’s still blossoming.
  5. That was a playoff-caliber period of hockey.
  6. The skill difference is stark - the Sabres have to work so much harder to generate quality shots...
  7. Simmonds with Skinner, causing chaos (in a good way). Me likey.
  8. If there were a Hall of Fame for hands...
  9. I don’t know what the fancy stats say, but I’ll repeat: to my eyes, Sheary plays weak and has a maddening inability to finish. Constantly knocked off of the puck because of a lack of functional strength, and while he’s able to generate some chances for himself he does not seem to be able to put them in the back of the net. I won’t miss the player. As for E-Rod, I never thought he belonged in the NHL. I felt badly for Skinner when he was partnered up with him. Really surprised anyone took him. He’s an AHL player.
  10. Sheary finally finished. Amirite?
  11. Sure looked like Sheary was being showcased a bit today.
  12. My first concern is that this is going to make him even more gun-shy as he approaches the deadline. My second concern is that his bosses may not even find out about this series of events. Who is going to tell them? Is Kim Pegula plugged in to the hockey transaction wire? I don’t know if the owners have any organizational process for vetting and evaluating these types of resource-allocation decisions. They generally don’t seem the slightest bit attuned to what’s going on with the organization other than wins and losses and the occasional media embarrassment which they then quickly react to. They don’t have a Czar feeding them real-time information about operations or the performance of their GM. So barring some kind of TBN hit piece citing this trade as a sign of organizational ineptitude, I’m not sure there will be any ramifications. All this is to say - I live in Knicks country and I can honestly say that the Buffalo Sabres are probably the most poorly-run franchise in all of professional sports.
  13. No goals to show for it but possibly the best period of Sabres hockey all season.
  14. Thank you. Some folks here are starting to sound like freakin' Pol Pot: "Everyone associated with the tank must go, we must rid the building of the tank's stench." It's insane. ADD TALENT = WIN GAMES.
  15. Agree that they played hard, lack skill. Roster buildout has failed.
  16. Bogo routinely does some of the dumbest things you ever see on the ice. I can’t believe he exists.
  17. When did this become a thing to say?
  18. I’m sure when Skinner signed his extension he asked to be put on a line with ERod.
  19. And now Hutton’s fragile psyche collapses.
  20. Um, Veach and Reid were pretty darn sure of it. McBeane have done a solid job, that's true. But having both organizations trade away consecutive NHL Finals' MVP and the Super Bowl MVP - that is quite a look for Pegulaville.
