Sadly, our luck didn't hold out this afternoon, Blues up 5 to 1 on the Penguins. The Islanders didn't earn their Red Wings today either. Hopefully the rest of today's matches tilt in our favor draft wise.

A tip of the hat to you good sir...…………...

There should be an arch in front of the Arena with this statement etched across the arch ? Come to think of it, there should be an arch with this statement on it at every conceivable roadway, sidewalk, stone road and dirt path entering the greater Western New York region lol Well done triple dot, well done.

Philly hanging tough with Toronto, 5-4 Philly towards end of 2nd. Vegas and Dallas toe to toe 1-1 end of 1st. So far, other teams are helping with our own picks draft position. Blue Jackets up 2-0 over Carolina, although I like either one to win, Jackets win opens up a gap with the Blues, sending their pick further down. All is going according to plan so far...………..

Last night was another good night for both the Buffalo and St. Louis draft positions.

Your next coach of the Buffalo Sabres ladies and gentlemen, Jason Pominville…………… Hamilton: So, coach Population, what's your first order of business as the new coach? Coach Pominville: Alumni party in Boca with Terry and Kim, then off on vacation, the wife and I are trying to grow the population of Pominville, but, admittedly, it's tough to score in this league...………….. (The fans give a collective sigh)

Chicago at 71 points now, looking at 8 points off St. Louis. Canucks and Rangers, would like an OT/Shootout game with Vancouver winning. Would like the Oilers to finish off the Devils, that would be a good night for the Sabres draft situation for their own pick.

I was honest in my answers. Yes to all 3. I make no excuses, it is my view of the increase in draft lottery odds that I'm basing my answers on 2 of those questions. I will still root for them to win regardless because I'm sick of losing, but in the end I do not believe Eichel will stay beyond his current contract because of the losing culture that has gripped this organization and they cannot find a solution for it. Therefore, 2 future high end draft pieces will be needed to eventually replace his departure. Is this opinion? Of course, but best to be prepared.

The night went nearly perfect for that St. Louis pick to stay below 20th. Wish Winnipeg would have beat SJ to gain space on St. Louis but overall every team that won combined with the St. Louis loss is good for the draft pick.

We need Dallas to win folks if we want St. Louis to sink enough in the standings to let Anaheim take that San Jose pick.

And in 4 years when these two 1st rounders arrive we shall have it! Maybe

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
Scottysabres replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
No, it isn't. Under the Obama administration the nation debt rose from just under 8.9 trillion dollars in November of 2008 to just under 18.6 trillion dollars in November of 2016. He delivered year over year trillion dollar budgets for 5 of his 8 years in office. He falsly claimed to the American People the ACA was financially neutral, it was in fact, not. He continued the QE programs initiated by the Bush administration, wrote off 100's of billions in bank loses, and did all of this borrowing from my grandchildren and great grandchildren. He did nothing to add jobs, he heavily regulated as a matter of fact costing a net job loss in many industries. He completely failed to protect the American worker attempting to instill new trade deals based on American job losses. This really happened, I watched it happen nation wide. Work slowed, in some cases vanished. I have traveled extensively nation wide, I am sorry if your elitist writings out of New York City or Washington D.C. don't subscribe to the realities in a majority of the nation. But that's on you, for not actually going out there and taking a look at what was actually happening. And while I'm no Trump fan, I do applaud his approach in stabilizing the job market. Many I know are back to work, and it isn't because of Obama.
