  1. Hope they recover quickly!
  2. I don't know either but I can't get past that dude's choice of fashion.
  3. I started paying for Spotify a few years ago because their stream quality seemed better than others available. I'm starting to think this is no longer the case (even though I have the stream setting on highest quality). Not to mention the bluetooth connectivity is terrible at home and in the car for me. For some reason when I want the music blasting my face off, Spotify seems quiet compared to say Amazon that I get for free because of my Amazon Prime.
  4. I understand that but I believe the articles are referring to eight different strains of Covid-19.
  5. I'm not digging the fact that multiple sources have mentioned eight strains of the virus. That means that it is mutating, no? Sounds as though the new strains won't be any more lethal than the first strain, however they determine that.
  6. Just trying to lighten the mood with a joke. The gravity of the situation is starting to set in for a lot of people.
  7. Co-worker in ICU, not old either.
  8. Never checked the temp but realized the sun was out and it's been the warmest it's been in a long time. Doing some yard work basking in Vitamin D.
  9. I may have missed where you picked up the load as well. Care to share? Nothing nefarious just wondering.
  10. Do the subtitles take away from the movie?
  11. Just curious, were those US origin apples you were hauling?
  12. One thing is certain, for me at least. If you were to tell me a year ago this was going to happen I would have told you to get off the crack pipe.
  13. I never said my family member was more important than anyone else. I used my MIL as an example. Not sure where you pulled that from my responses but that is clearly not the argument I'm making. If someone 300 miles away is in the process of receiving or is in need of receiving medical treatment for the virus, I find it ridiculous they would a) be transported to an area from dense infection to an area of low infection jeopardizing the new area to further probability of increasing infections and b) potentially deprive someone locally (MIL, you, me, Sabretooth) of any locality for that matter (patient from Detroit, MI->Sharon, PA) of necessary medical treatment for the virus. I voiced my opinion on the topic, received a seemingly snarky retort, and asked for a logical explanation from the poster. I followed that up with a statement that I wasn't interested in a pissing match (see last night posts) and still have no interest in said pissing match.
  14. I'm not interested in a pissing match on this thread. It's supposed to be about beneficial information/support regarding the current situation. They're using reefers for the deceased. More important things to worry about.
  15. I'm not seeing that at all. His response was to my opinion that transferring sick patients to this area is absurd.
  16. I'm trying to wrap my head around this response. If my mother-in-law who has a significant amount of underlying health issues is infected you think it would be okay if she was unable to get necessary medical attention here because people from 300 miles away were brought here to be treated for the infection? You would be okay with your own family member or friend not being able to receive medical treatment because of this scenario? Bigger picture, you actually think ADDING infected people to an area that is just beginning to see an increase in infections is a good idea? Please explain to me the logic in that.
  17. That would be ludicrous if someone from this area would be SOL at a local hospital because the beds were occupied by people from another area.
  18. This is absolutely absurd and completely contradicts the idea of containment.
  19. Gonna fire up the first season of Spartacus. It's the only series I have on DVD besides Band of Brothers and Trailer Park Boys.
  20. It's called Walmart and surprisingly nobody is walking out of there with three thirty packs except me. They can thoroughly wipe their collective ***** while I drink my face off.
  21. I'm sick of the facade some people put on in the stores. Laughing and shaking their heads in "disbelief" when they get to an aisle with everything sold out as if they're casually shopping and everyone else is batshit crazy (they are) and they're not. The 58 rolls of toilet paper, 35 pounds of chicken nuggets and five boxes of 12 gauge shotgun shells in your grocery cart tells quite a different story.
  22. Piss on this piece of ***** ***** virus right to hell.
  23. I think you may need to reduce your intake of virus coverage. I refuse to use the "C" word for it anymore because it's becoming nauseating. You would be better off getting 15 minutes worth of updates a day and spending more time outside. I came home from work the other night and stood in the driveway listening to the spring peepers for 15 minutes and it felt really, really good. It honestly felt like my internal battery was recharging from the sound. Spring is here, new life is here. Embrace it. I know I'm preaching to the choir but even the choir needs to be reminded sometimes.
  24. And it's back to Boss Baby for the 100th time in five days.
