I agree and always liked the behind the idea, it's more exciting most often. I'm thinking more about our players like Jack/VO setting up for that one-timer. The puck would be generating force in the opposite direction, I would believe that would take some speed off the shot...maybe not significantly. I actually like the behind the net option and it seems more creative.

Do you think we would try and move up (maybe get one of Sen's picks)? Also, I've seen where some people suggest the Devil's might go with a Dman but I've read that Hischier signed with the Swedish military for 3yrs. I would think that would lead them to draft another forward.

I think we've proven that having only one scoring line doesn't get us anywhere. I think your idea will work when we upgrade the 2nd line. Only then can you let Skinner be Skinner on which ever line he fits best.

You could say the same for Chicago....Kane/Toews. The Caps...Ovi/ Backstrom. LA...Kopitar/ Brown/Carter. Bruins...Bergeron/ Krejci/ March and. I'm sure there are others too, maybe Minny?

I disagree with your "pretty good estimate" and here's why....you estimate that Miller would have 50pts. Now, swap out Johansson (who was on pace for 41pts) with Miller. Do you think those 9pts would've put us in the playoffs "easily"? I really don't think so.
