Can we get Johnny Boychuck from retirement to replace Dahlin?
-
They had this game won then just played completely scared. This is where an Okposo and Girgensons is supposed to be the veteran presence.
-
Please Owen Power don't be another bum like this guy.
-
Teach this bum Dahlin how to play defense.

We finally have a true power forward in Alex Tuch, super excited to see him play when he comes off injured reserve.
-
I can't say I'm thrilled about giving up our top center even though it was inevitable. It's about as good of a return as we could have got and the future looks bright although Krebs was struggling from what I read but I think he'll be worked in slowly to see where he fits. Tuch is such an underrated player and I might be even more excited about him than Krebs right now, we finally have that true power forward, he'll be fun to watch when he's off of LTIR. The first could be a high 1 since Vegas has injury woes this year and it supposed to be a deep draft so that's good news. I thought the Sabres would be under the cap floor though, not sure how this works?
-
Some people are meant for that and others are not, either it's in your DNA or it isn't. Dahlin is not that guy and it's obvious but pair him with a guy who is would be the smarter choice.

It's entertaining watching grown men talk about another person's injury like they are speaking with Jack, his agents and all the Dr's in their free time.

Is it too soon to think we might actually be good?
GoPuckYourself replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I didn't answer because although I love the way they're playing but at some point talent will have to surpass heart or at least have a mixture of both and we're just not there yet. The Echel trade and next draft should yield the talent we're looking for but until then I'll enjoy watching but know there will be plenty of games like tonight's Bruins game. -

I really want to take my son to a game but we both want to be right in front , I just can't justify paying $160+ for 2 tickets to an LA Kings gamein March knowing we'll most likely be out of the playoffs Way before then. -
I have to admit they looked fast, they grinded out hard on the boards and dominated a team that made it to the Stanley Cup finals last season. I don't care who was in net for them we were supposed to be the 1 score and Montreal the 5. That's the most heart/grit/determination I've seen them play with in a very long time. Old man Anderson was excellent, still looks like he has plenty left in the tank. I don't know why but I really like this letter to almost like he was addressing it to us saying we may not win every game but we'll play hard which is what we were all hoping for, just be exciting and work your ass off!

Do You Think The Sabres Top Brass Sees This As A “Tank” Season?
GoPuckYourself replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
I don't see Steve Ott as our captain. We're trying this again with a young core which GMKA will build in his vision. Cozens, UPL, Middlestadt, Dahlin, Power, Quinn is not a terrible start. There will also be guys who will surprise and get a chance on our roster but I don't think this organization wants to lose anymore for a player/players. -
I think the combo of Craig Anderson and UPL will start off rough but end on a high note. Anderson was brought it to totally mentor him and we have 3 young goalie prospects in the pipeline so getting another prospect in a trade doesn't make much sense imo and Anderson will be an excellent mentor and I think he will do his best to prove that he still has something left in the tank also, he's always been a scraper. The focus in the Jack deal is 100% center imo.

Should KA Let Jack Get The Surgery He Wants?
GoPuckYourself replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
This is the Pegulas call imo, GMKA has nothing to do with his health insurance. No owner in their right mind would do the surgery if the insurance company doesn't agree to it. -
Sabres Hired Tim Kennedy and Nathan Paetsch as Development Coaches

I'd have to believe he'd be better than Nathan Paetsch. -

We couldn't get anyone more skilled like Alexander Mogilny and Jay McKee? -

You know Ryan O'Reilly will have a Tim Hortons Logo Evander Kane will have a Draftkings logo Phil Kessel- Pornhub -
I kind of feel confident in him at this point although I probably shouldn't but I feel like if he just wanted to get something, anything at this point he would have by now imo.
-
Really? Again I just guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Also nowhere in my post did I say Reinhart specifically was the reason we didn't make the playoffs.... I said he was PART of the reason.
-
That's your opinion, mine is different from yours so of course you'd think it's bad. If they start saying they don't want to play here anymore...YES!
-
I really don't know much about him, I read that he was smaller but a scrappy kid who fights for the puck in the corners and along the boards. We need more of those guys, this team has been lazy for some time now in both ends.
-
It shouldn't blow your mind, we never made the playoffs with Sam Reinhart on our roster, he was part of the problem, what are you mind blown about? He didn't do his part or we'd be a playoff team, what am I missing here? I'm not blaming Sam Reinhart by himself but this roster with him on it since 2014 has been a basement dweller, how can you argue that?

I would love it if we got bigger and tougher on both offense and defense. I want to be one of those teams that everyone hates playing us like Boston. We tried the finesse skilled players and it didn't work out, how about gritty- tough players which I'm hearing Isaac Rosen who we picked up in the 1st round is that guy so good start if true.
