  1. Long sports day continues. Bills at 1 👍, Sabres at 4👎, Braves at 8🤞. Add 55 trick or treaters and it’s been a full day.
  2. Good lesson to the guys that if they don’t compete they’ll lose. Still we clearly miss Mitts, Joki and Eakin.
  3. Bjork is painful to watch
  4. Why are we still flat? They played yesterday. No one clearing the front
  5. We really miss Mitts on the PP
  6. I was about to post how flat they look, but then we score two goals. Then we fall asleep and allow a goal.
  7. Have we had a shot?
  8. I’m a Braves fan and have been one since I was 10; so about 45 years.
  9. A Braves, Bills and Sabres trifecta will be just fine today.
  10. I really like Nadeau when drafted. He was a huge value pick according to my draft chart and it’s why I ranked him ahead of the 3rd rd picks.
  11. I’m in Marietta near Truist Park. My girls went to UGA and we go every week during football season. I actually grew up a Braves fan, it was fate that I ended up here. PS. I was a Dr Who fan until it went off the rails in recent years.
  12. Actually Bennett stunk. He can’t see over the line. Daniels should be the starter now they he is healthy. That was the craziest 2:30 of football I’ve ever seen followed by the craziest baseball game I’ve ever seen. There maybe 9 NFL starters on that defense (this is a prospects thread after all).
  13. Braves and Bulldawgs. The Braves do nothing easy. Long day. Now Bills, Sabres and Halloween today.
  14. Bug guy who is always around the net. Can’t wait to see him in the A.
  15. Page 38-55 of the report are pretty clear that a physical interaction was discussed in the meeting on May 23rd which Chevy attended. That quote is BS. https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.townnews.com/wrex.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/c/1b/c1bd008a-36ae-11ec-a80f-5b9bfb34e19e/617885ae1be0f.pdf.pdf
  16. As AGM he certainly had power to help Beach as he was likely in charge of the AHL team. As the AGM he easily could have and should have contacted Beach to determine what if anything the higher ups did for him. He didn't. He also became WPG GM a year later. He could have acquired Beach from the Hawks and taken him away from the toxic organization. He did nothing and now has been rewarded for just taking orders and keeping silent. I've seen that excuse before and it never works out well for the victims. Also where is the NHLPA in all this? What did they do to help Beach? Beach contacted them and...... Fehr and his henchmen did nothing. Why aren't the players putting pressure on Fehr to resign? Where was Beach's player rep? Why aren't heads rolling at the Union?
  17. As the AGM he certainly had access to Beach. He could have started by speaking with him to find out what if anything the Hawks have done for him, especially when the perpetrator was still with the team through the playoffs. He could have then exposed the coverup to media, and/or contacted Bettman’s office, or the police. He became WPG’s GM a year or so later. At that point he had power to help Beach if he had wanted to. He did nothing and kept quiet for 11 years. He maybe the least culpable of the senior management, but that shouldn’t give him a pass for staying silent.
  18. I wasn’t talking about the bystander effect, which isn’t relevant in this case. Chevy wasn’t a bystander. He wasn’t a witness. Chevy was in the meeting when the facts were disclosed and a decision by management made to bury it. I understand he had no power to override that decision, but legally he’d have been protected had he exposed the coverup.
  19. We have whistleblower laws for a reason. Chevy knew what happened to Beach, knew for 11 years that nothing was done to help Beach by the Hawks and the NHLPA and did nothing himself. It would have been nice if at least one underlying would have stepped up and blew the whistle. Apparently Chevy was more interested in protecting his career then doing what is right. If I owned WPG, I’d fire Chevy.
  20. Saw DGs statement on Beach and coach Q and he was intelligent, focused on Beach and said his relationship with Q is irrelevant since we should be focused on Beach
  21. This is serious but typical NHL BS. What did Chevy do for the last 11 years to help Beach and the other victims? Nothing. Wpg needs to let him go
  22. Who was the last 40 year old goalie to play 40 games in the NHL? Thomas played 48 at 39. Edit: Found the answer to my question. https://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/player-age/40-year-old-nhl-goalies.html In relatively recent times there have been 3, Belfour, Hasek and Roloson.
  23. I think so to. Chevy’s only defense was he was a AGM and had no “power” but that rings hollow when you realize he kept quiet for 11 years. He honestly should be gone. The next steps are cleaning house at the NHLPA. The Union has a duty to it’s players to protect them even more than the teams. Once the Union knew what happened to Beach they did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Fehr and his leadership group need to go. The Blackhawks and the Union need to writing Beach and his family really large checks to compensate him for the damage they caused.
